I disagree. Taking to the streets resulted in some arrests and police officer indictments. Start messing with peoples money and it's gonna be more than just people protesting against police brutality. The threat of hunger and homelessness to millions will be a whole new ball game.

The chart with the comparison to other countries seems to be a bit off, because unemployed individuals received $2400/m on top of their state’s weekly unemployment and will receive $1200/m on top of their state’s unemployment under this new bill.
That’s in addition to the $600 and prior $1200 if those unemployed individuals were eligible.

I think you are misunderstanding. You are only talking about the state amounts.
But under the CARES Act, there was an additional federal $600/week to go along with the state amounts. Under this new bill there is an additional $300/week to go along with the state amounts.

It should have just been a flat amount across the board monthly. If you’re working it’s hazard pay, if you aren’t it’s extra money on top of your state unemployment.

nah but it´s really hilarious tho!
all those naval bases just within warship range of everywhere came when they finessed the British because they needed warships to fight Hitler. HITLER. the US looked at an ally getting ate up by Nazis and saw a mark.
fast forward and they were the LAST MAN STANDING in the World War Era! all of their factories were still intact, not a single city burned to the ground...everywhere else was destroyed! they beat the damn game!
...aaaaaand then they spent the next 70 damn years doing everything but minding their own business.
now we have enough exploding military stuff to at least fight every other nation on the planet to a draw if not win, but can´t feed our own citizens for a few months or effectively combat a really ordinary pandemic.
America ain´t **** and ain´t never been ****...but REALLY thinking about it is kinda funny.
