It’s starting to become a distraction. Santos needs to have a sit down with him and see where his heads at with no blame to anyone.

They’re having a great cup and with respect to his legacy; If he can’t play his role, thanks for your years of service and here’s your ticket home.

What’s the process like for getting World Cup tickets layziegunts layziegunts ? I don’t wanna miss out when they come to Foxborough in 2026
Do they release tickets for the date before the teams are drawn? Do the teams countries get first pick?

yup, its a lottery process. The 2026 World Cup is going to sell out damn near instantly, pretty much all matches. I cant even think how insane it will be. Check the news and FIFA.com regarding that

Seriously though, how can anyone find a negative angle to qualifying for the WC quarters  , in style too.

Even if you're on the bench thats still a great chance to add the most prestigious trophy in the sport, one that the countries never won. Sounds like his fam would've been more happy if they crashed out or had a terrible match if it meant that it would make the bench decision look bad.

Seriously though, fair play to Gonçalo Ramos man. Talk about grabbing his chance by the horns and running with it

WC debut at 21 and he nets a beautiful hat trick in the knockout round...nasty goals too.

One of the best debuts in recent memory

I can see his family's point of view. They feel hard pressed with the United Situation and now what they thought was a "safe haven" looks to mirror United. His family's view and his view are different, that's why there needs to be a sit down.

Portugal has a good chance of going far, they don't need a ticking time bomb in the dress room. No matter who it is.

Family are doing what families do. Being irrational and emotional. Like parents at an AAU game. Kat has a platform. So you guys are riding with it. But don’t.

Ronaldo isn’t going to leave his country if he’s not starting.

This isn’t a United or RM situation where players are basically mercenaries now.

This is his COUNTRY. A country he’s extremely patriotic about.

Just stop

Mans probably hopped on a plane to London to chat with Piers as you typed this out

It’s absolutely hilarious at how many people thought Gonçalo Ramos was Left-Footed yesterday.

He’s not.

He just has an amazing weaker foot. A two footed striker. Which is extremely hard to find.

I know ego ain't logical but he finally got help he may not have had previously. He ain't gotta do it all at 38. Let the kids do the heavy lifting, pick your spots and ****ing score when you get on the field. You're still going to get all the glory. People will praise your ability to let the younger guys shine, your grace in aging. Instead he's being a petulant baby and I've been a Ronaldo since he broke out at United under SAF. Disappointing but he's going out sad and it's his fault.

Should be eye opening to people to see how much better clubs are without Ronaldo. Man United is doing much better without him. And no surprise, Portugal is too. I wanted Ronaldo to keep starting for Portugal because it would ensure the team wouldn't win and he would never get his World Cup. Now, if he leaves the camp, by all means, Portugal can take it.

Oh please… it was one match against a weak Swiss team.

fifa really needs to update the yellow card rules. you shouldn’t be getting suspended for the semi final of the tournament for getting one yellow in the group stages and one in the knockout round
