For 169 I’m more than happy to pick up a pair of Taiwan’s. Plus with how big they are, I’m glad I sized down haha

I'm not sure. I meant half down from your normal size. I bought 2 other AF1s prior to Taiwan's in my normal 9.5 and they fit fine, so I went with that. I wish I knew going half down on AF1s was a thing still in some cases. But no big deal, I'm just going to add another insole.
