Gum soles. I don't recall a ton of sneakers utilizing gum soles back then like they do now. Gum soles were something to geek out on back then (at least for me). Now they're an everyday occurrence.

Simple, classic colorway, which epitomizes the AF1.

Limited availability also adds to their allure.
