datboylbeez honestly those are dope, other than the white mid/outsole combo.

dblplay1212 probably because of the material of the swoosh, my guess is it's a smooth plastic or metal and they put the plastic over it so it doesn't get scuffed or smudged. Jordan 17s came with a piece on the heel that had some tape over it saying "peel off" for another example.

It's a Gold plated swoosh so they put plastic film over it to protect it until you wear them.
