I think it described it as a canvas, but its very light. Makes a scratchy sound if you rub it. Reminds me a little of the jordan 34 materials, just pulled tighter. Im happy with them.

It is reminiscent of nylon. Very happy with them though. Love the mid/outsole

That leather should be the standard or minimum on AF1's.
