I remember going to my local mom and pops sneaker spot and they had the invisible af1s... was lucky they were taking it out the box and putting it on display.... my friend ended up buying the whole size run smh...when I got them I was hyped but after wearing it I didnt like the foggy part of the clear toebox plus it looked cheap... ended up selling it here for the low... still got my dr dooms though... bought the OG then sold them and copped the retro from a few years ago

Just went head and order the Kobes. It was 225. I'm ok with that. Watch a video on them by Schopes. The details are crazy. Hopefully I get them early next week.

Need to ramble for a bit, but figured if anybody would understand this feeling, it's y'all.
Without getting into the details, went through some personal stuff in 2005 and sold or gave away a good chunk of my collection. Over 150 pairs ranging from OG Supa Dunks to like Jordan Trunners and takedown Shox. Of those 150+ pairs, there were only 5 I actually regretted parting with. Believe it or not, it wasn't even anything super crazy. It was stuff like the black/Carolina Melo 1.5's. Got my sht together and started trying to track those random 5 pairs back down starting in like 2007. Managed to get most of them back within a few months of searching ebay every day. Every pair except one. The Obsidian/Cone AF1 was a legit white whale. Could barely find evidence it even existed. Well, 15+ years of searching finally came to an end today, thanks to an incredibly bad listing on Flight Club. Had a few emails back and forth to verify they were what I thought they were, and eventually pulled the trigger. Came home today to find these beauties waiting on the porch! I know this word gets thrown around a lot, but these are true Grail for me. Forgive the basic single pic. Was just too excited to set them up for glamor shots.

Yup, that's them. Dude kept raising the price and not listening to offers. Checked a week or two ago, and he'd dropped them to $570 from $700-something, and that was good enough for me.
