I think we deserve the Chicago’s, Royals and black toes with the same cut as the breds. I do like the shape of the 2015 pairs though.

Satisfied the metallic itch and the leather was really soft on those, so I wouldn't say say they were completely horrible. But I will say the leather tongue bothered me more than I expected.

Agreed. The leather tongue was a strange decision. Swapped out the leather tongue with a nylon one. But would still welcome a 85 version.

They are already doing it and I don't think we've perfected the 85 yet tbh. The bred was better but it still looks funky to me.
This could totally be me just being used to the 2016/ OG shape but in truth I prefer it. I still own multiple 85s but outside of the black and whites I rarely actually go for them.
The 85 low on the other hand is near perfection.

Yeah I mean it just sucks because for awhile they were releasing OG Highs and 85s.
I guess with AJ1s losing their popularity with the masses, they probably don't find a business case to produce higher quality 85s (including the 85 tooling) that they can't sell as a massive GR at $200+ retail.
Oh well, I guess most of us by this point have more OG AJ 1s than we know what to do with lol

The leather on the neutral grey lows is fantastic imo.
I don’t know why they don’t use it on all the 85s.

85 Royal lows had great leather. Legitimately one of the best retros, quality wise in the past few years.
Shame they seemingly dumped the 85 mold and are releasing Royals as OG Highs for whatever reason.

The leather on the neutral greys has a nice balance between soft and firm.
Not super buttery smooth like Shattered Backboards, but not super stiff like your typical 85.

Royals have a thicker leather that breaks in very nicely and maintains its form. Have been wearing mine a ton over the past year and change, really excellent release and wish I had doubled up when resale prices bottomed out (since Nike/JB stupidly never released them here in the US).
