Royals have a thicker leather that breaks in very nicely and maintains its form. Have been wearing mine a ton over the past year and change, really excellent release and wish I had doubled up when resale prices bottomed out (since Nike/JB stupidly never released them here in the US).

I rock mine monthly, 7s are gonna fall apart so no point in trying to keep them forever... they will actually last longer if you wear em. Yall need to gone head and unDS them next month.

Not a big fan of the shoe but I do like the way you think. Some shoes have to be worn and when you've been at it as long as many of us have it can be easy to forget those things.

I remember I bought a pair of the DD OG Oly 6s from the early 2000s (from a NTer actually) and they crumbled on my very first wear. I was so heartbroken.

I feel like I have all the 1s I need at this point... more than enough... so I honestly dont care. Would I buy a pair of Chicagos or Bred 85s of they made them easy to get? Sure, but thats about it. I might get a pair of Royals... on sale
