So you're basing your argument off of something you're uncertain of?

From the video hollakid posted, the tuner adds 25 horses, so it'll be 500 @ the crank not @ the wheels...

sit down ninjahood, you making domestic supporters look bad. IT sucks being me sometiems, especially because I like them both alot. There is nothign impressiveabout SRTs, they are VERY nice cars and I would love to push one but 425 from the factory just isn't enough for them, 500 hp just makes them adequate. Atthe end of the day its a near two ton hotrodded 10+ year old benz chasis. Start talkin about 90s era Camaro Z28s and stangs(5.0) and now we're talkin

If the SRT8 top speed of 176mph vs. the 155mph top speed of some V12 exotics, and your 90's era pony cars isn't impressive... thenyou're right

Put you're right foot down in one of them and you'll certainly feel those so called "meaningless" horsepower #'s. It may not be all thatquick, but they are tremendous cars.

all this hate on this board against chargers/magnums is funny, and obviously the haters have never been behind the wheel of one and are just focusing on thenumbers they see online.

They arent the greatest cars, and even tho interior isnt every thing the interior in those cars are usually cheap and not eye-pleasing, let alone reliable

All the new musclecars are garbage. The musclecar era ended in 2004 with the last real Cobra imo. All the new ones have crazy power, but they weigh upwards of2 tons. No real sports cars can weigh that much, no matter how good they're supposed to handle.

A gutted Civic (older models, hatches usually) with 250-300hp turbos (correct me if im wrong here) can easily pull an a Lambo.
that "imma turbo a milk crate and imma BLOW a Mclaren !" talk is corny

Money night can't wrap his head around da fact that American like's BIG rear wheel drive cars wit BIG powerful engines.

No doubt id rather be seen in a Lambo than a Civic.

But when you have a 90s Civic blowing you off the line, id just feel plain silly.

All this Charger/SRT8/whatever talk, weve been through this so many damn times.

Still auto = FTL.

Yeah, and how much did musclecars of the muscle car era weigh? (rhetorical question)

Not really rhetorical at all, the first gen camaro's and firebirds weighed 3200 pounds. The heaviest last real musclecar (imo), the Cobraweighed 3700 pounds. The musclecar era already ended in our lifetime.

What about the new Mustang? Lighter, faster, etc? I'm in love with it, the CTS-V is definetely appreciated too, that thing can handle. We have lots of goodmuscle cars

We do have lots of good musclecars...........that were made back in the day. The new GT500 'Stang is rumored to have a bit less than 4000 pounds. The CTS-Vweighs that much, but it has 4 doors, lengthy, and doubles as a luxury cruiser.

electronic limiters come into play, many euro cars are limited to 155, but are capable of much more. In terms of overall performance LX cars just aint allthat, but like I've said, I'd happily drive one and own one and mod the shiggedy out of it

2004 Cobra - 3,700 lbs
2010
Camaro - 3,800 lbs
