Gonna do a tomahawk today

Almost ready to go in.
Did my 1st tomahawk on the real grill today. Did one on the ninja before. It took like 15 mins.

So I didn't realize it would take 45 minutes on my real grill.

Let's just say there's a serious crust. Gonna cut it open soon, but positive I got myself a solid medium rare.

I'll post the pic after I redeem myself with one done right lol.
 
Yeah propane is better than nothing. Can still get great crust on meat and char on veggies to enhance flavor. But charcoal is far superior from a taste standpoint.

You can try a smoker tube on a gas grill. Worth a shot if charcoal isn’t an option.
 
Those who switched to propane, is it worth it?
At my current place i can’t use charcoal

If it's all you have it's all you have.

I have a gravity fed charcoal grill but use this for extra smoke flavor. I like thier pallets better than others I have used.
