OFFICIAL COMIC BOOK THREAD

I've been consuming too much comic-related YT content lately, and I've been thinking about something. Wondering if anyone else of the same opinion:

I could not give a **** less about "keys". I feel like there is annoying terminology with any hobby or niche of society, but "keys" and talk of "kelys" has always been something that makes me roll my eyes. I've just always discounted it as reseller talk, but it has started to kinda bother me recently. I'm much more of a cover art and completing runs type of collector but I don't do graded stuff or resell either.
I'm just like you. Don't care for finding keys to add to my collection. If an ongoing title I buy becomes a key, then cool. But other than those, if I find an issue that I used to have as a kid, I'd probably find a way to grab it.

Rereading Secret Wars 1 right now, and the first Punisher mini...also getting into 1980 with Cap, I've read all the 60s-70s Cap and all of the 90s-now...and most of the 80s, but while I've read all the other flagship titles from the 60s on, I never read all the way through on Cap. The accessibility of Marvel's back catalogue is AMAZING (pun, KINDA intended)

Just finished re-reading the original Secret Wars omnibus and am about to embark on a full read through of Hickman's Secret Wars in preparation for the upcoming movie. So, Hickman's Secret Warriors omni, his two S.H.I.E.L.D. mini-series, both Hickman FF omni's, his Ultimate Marvel omni, both Hickman Avengers omni's, and then his Secret Wars omni. Should keep me busy for a while!

Just finished up Vol 1 and 2 omnibuses of Chip Zdarksy’s Daredevil run. Absolutely both great reads. Highly recommend them if you haven’t. Alternated back to DC now and reading the Under the Red Hood deluxe edition. Not sure where I’m going from there though. Have been on an Omni kick as of late and have a bunch of Uncanny X-men to read. The Fatal Attractions Omni comes out next week and will prob be picking that up as well.

Bought 3 omnibus this week. Traded my sneaker habit for an omni problem recently.

Currently re-reading through Vol. 1. It's so good. I have Vol. 2 as single issues and may consider selling those to fund Vol. 2.

I still have Vol. 1 omni of Jed MacKay's Moon Knight run. Heard nothing but good things about that.

My LCS pulled the newest Amazing Spider-Man #1 for me and I might drop it.

I saw the reveal as to who the new Venom is, I'm going to drop that lol.
it's Mary-Jane :smh:

Jason Aaron's Bug Wars has been a fun read so far.

I think I'm going to start downsizing and selling off stuff to free up space. My interest in the hobby is slowly slowing down. May just end up sticking to digital and omnibus' down the road.
