DC's KO event was pretty good. I didn't think I'd have interest in it, but props to Scott Snyder.

Matt Fraction's Batman run has been pretty entertaining so far. Latest issue has the Joker return in a different way
(He finally has mental clarity and is 'calm'. Reminded me of Sean Murphy's version of Joker in White Knight.

Marvel is still a mess. Idk where they'll go with this upcoming event lead by Zdarsky. But, I think it's time for a reboot.

Which do you prefer? Absolute or mainline Batman?

I don’t read comics. I mainly used to consume Comics Explain videos until the recent controversy. But what I’ve seen of Absolute Batman has seemed cool.

Absolute has been entertaining. Especially seeing how Batman’s villains came to be in that universe.

Mainline Batman has been hit or miss. Fraction’s current run has been pretty good. Zdarsky’s run (before Fraction) was sort of a letdown. I had high hopes from his daredevil run (which S1 and S2, takes ideas from)

I think both DC and Marvel to a slightly lesser degree are failing black characters. For Black Lightning to not get a push when he had a show on TV, to the way they've played around with John Stewart it shows they really don't want to engage with the black fan base.

Black Panther was able to gross close to 2 billion at the box office, and Marvel can't seem to get a decent BP run since Coates/Ewing (depending on your opinion).

I see it differently cuz Marvel just keeps trying. Yearly there’s been a BP ongoing to get. The quality is subjective but right after Coates/Ewing they kept going. Ewing’s run ended 3 years ago. Then they launched Ultimate BP.

Miles always has a book. It never really seemed like a thing to do but now even Storm has her own solo.

Marvel can definitely be doing more but since the MCU started like 20 years ago there hasn’t been some long period where black heroes were ignored

With the return of Luke Cage I’m expecting a book for him sooner than later.
