Grand priest hit them with the okey-doke and told them to repair the ring lol.

Those gods fighting were already from universes that were exempt if I'm not mistaken, they just wanted to look good in front of him (them) and it backfired

Damn, it's been so long since we had to sit through it that I forgot all about them old "powers up for months" jokes

I doubt anyone would bet against that though. It's a classic shounen arc finale trope.

Only alternatives I can realistically see are Zeno somehow changing his mind or the tournament being interrupted and Zeno, for reasons that would probably be lame as hell; not following up on it.

-uub, gohan, trunks, goten, pan, buu are now the protectors of earth,

but with goku and vegeta gone, opponents that are strong like

goku black would be way too strong for them... which means they'd have to train

Honestly might be a wrap unless they do something else with the gods (beerus) or if a threat comes from this like grand priest and destroys omni king but I doubt this.

I've been following this thread for a minute now, haven't been really watching the episodes.

Been mostly getting caught up on the shenanigans in Super by you guys.

Gonna start tuning in for the tournament though, sounds interesting.
