Official "Going to Vegas in..." Vol. II "It was time"

vegas is a terrific place to go dolo. you wouldn't believe how many people talked to me, told me a lot about their lives etc..

so many things to do, Top golf, cirque de solei, fights/boxing, Copperfield show, gambling etc etc.

in vegas women are very friendly, in LA it's 50/50.

WJ had an invite, but he said I'm gonna lock him out

Great solo trip recap @stork. I'm planning my first solo vegas trip the end of this month! I can't wait.

Has anyone stayed in Trump hotel?

my fam has the Hilton GVC timeshare deal so I've stayed there the last few trips. Like they said no casino, north-ish end and a block or so off the strip itself.

Rooms are excellent though (I assume theyre all the same), all suites with full kitchens/kitchenettes etc. so its great to pregame in. Pretty much the only downside is you gotta cab/uber everywhere or use their car/limo service unless hitting up encore 24/7 is ok with you

its across the street from fashion show mall too, if that helps

Trip begins today at 7.... I'm hype...

Esco at Drais tonight. Trying to decide if I want to book this VIP for 600 now or if I should wait til I get there tonight.

gonna be in vegas in 5 weeks, its looking like we'll be staying at the linq. I was there last year and we stayed at Excalibur so location is better this time around. I cant wait

What does the VIP for $600 get you? It's not a lot of money compared to Vegas standards but that has me thinking its kinda a scam to get more money from customers.

Thats where my hesitation comes from. I assume its just a table which is whack... Knowing my squad we probably gonna pop a couple bottles regardless so I will see what we can shake when I get there.

No scam. If you look at the venue map for tonight, the minimum for a table further away from the action is $600. A bottle of Grey Goose probably goes for about that much, so it's essentially a one bottle minimum. Now, if you know who to talk to, Drai's offers a deal on Thursdays: TWO bottles of Grey Goose for $600. Inquire about that, tip the host big, and have fun.

Yall ever rent a party bus to go to a club?

Not personally but my crew has. It's fun if youre a big group.

Damn. Didn't know Drias was so inexpensive.

It's only Thursdays and Sundays. But Drai's has been really smart about doing business. They tried to compete in the headlining DJ scene for a minute, but found their niche in live performances, thanks to a smart stage setup. The hip-hop and R&B acts they book don't command the prices of a Calvin Harris type, so they don't have to sell prime tables for as much, and they can afford to give out deals a couple nights a week (still helps to know people for those, as with any industry deal). It's still expensive on weekends, but the crowd they cater to is a little bit younger and much less affluent (or willing to spend money) than the crowds you see at XS, Hak and Omnia.

Don't think of the place as being "inexpensive", but rather them knowing exactly what they're doing. It's a gorgeous club, to boot, with incredible views of the strip.

dmbrhs dmbrhs Good feedback. I'll have to check them out, but the problem with seeing these live performances like Trav, Future, Push is I get too lit and rage too hard forgetting the club aspect. With EDM, nothing to get really lit about. Just chill vibes.

Here's the other difference between Drai's and a place like XS: the headliner isn't on for nearly as long. I don't think the main headliners at Drai's perform for more than 45 minutes. It's not as much of a commitment as a two-hour DJ set.
