You need to connect the the USB 2.0 cable to the headset into a USB on your PS3 and then do the update in the app.

i just noticed mine isnt the elite edition,  this might have something to do with it..

i can hear everything in the game great without the app..never noticed that when you come near a spaceship part it makes a sound.

...this is wack i want to hear the direction of bullets.
