OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

I had no idea what the **** was going on in the season premiere. but then again I was drunk and half asleep, so I missed a few parts. I'll watch it again later

What?  I didn't think it was that bad!  A new story, new premise... they needed to lay down the groundwork... exposition.

But I think the new surroundings and Snowden-esque leak will be interesting... as well as Quinn in IDGAF-mode.

Also, not sure what to make of that journo-lady... why is she working there?

Season 4 was a huge let down for me and I was skeptical about watching last nights premier. The episode wasn't bad and the time lapse was a nice change. From the season preview, it looks like it can redeem itself. I probably won't tune in weekly and just end up binge watching once the season wraps up.

I wish they had did a mini S4.5 focused on Quinn in Syria murking ppl.

I wonder if they'll shed light as to what Carrie did to sabotage Saul's director run

After last night's premier, I'm really only interested in Quinn's storyline.

thought the episode was

season has a lot of potential plus I'm always a stan of hacking storylines

This 2nd ep was better. Reminded me of old Homeland.

Quinn murking ppl, Saul giving ppl bad news that they're fired, Carrie in some cluster**** that's progressively driving her insane with a bigger plot looming. Not the same gripping excitement it use to had but really good stuff this ep.

That journalist chick is annoying as **** though.

. The plot or at least the premise as it's presented seems like it's lifted from an espionage movie and I don't mean that in a good way given this is like a 12 ep season.

It did now that you mention it. Especially tonight's ending.

It's funny though, Berlin is like the World Capital of Espionage. They crossed T's and Dotted I's as always

not to mention when journo got picked up, no one noticed hacker guy 2 ft away looking all crazy??

season has definitely lost my interest so far, i could barely stay awake watching this snoozefest

The lady quinn killed was a recruiter for the bomb girls. I forgot the proper name. He called in the van to see who owned it or potentially set up a trace because his mission was to kill the chick not follow the girls.

but wouldnt killin chick alert whoever is scheming that the govt is onto them?

edit: yes pure disappointment at these reboots

edit2: and what was in the package quinn had at the end? some kind of code in the personals?

Yeah all of that was explained. The female recruiter was the target. Not the girls in the van. Besides that Quinn clearly called in the license plate so somebody else could stop them. Probably arrested the guy and deported the girls.

The show been dropped in quality. I been said that but last season seems they managed to get some last things done to please fans (that Saul scene, somehow making Quinn a fan fav). Funny how ppl are now catching on.

This is Homeland though, so I do expect some completely wild **** to happen near the middle and end of this season. Only thing is if fans will still be watching by then.

That doesn't matter. This isn't about being on to anybody.

Saul provides the names. Quinn kills them.

They're just killing terrorists. There's no big plot they're stopping. They're killing enemies as they find them. So unless they all just run home and stop being terrorists Quinn and Saul gonna keep at it.

Had to rewatch the last scene with quin and if you pause it when he does a double check before he dips, the letters are MATHISO I think.

I thought it was obvious that the name on the list was Mathison, esp. with the scene before with the guy telling Carrie someone wants her dead.

That was the name of his next target, Mathison(Carrie). He didn't write the N because he had just realized at that moment, that his next target was Carrie

I only got good looks when it said MAT, thinking it was someone named Matthew perhaps.

I know somebody is trying to kill Carrie but I never thought it'd be Saul. Weird timing. She isn't behind any of the CIA's current problems. So unless they're working with some new terrorist leader that wants her dead this just seems coldblooded on Saul's part. Plus he really thinks Quinn would do it?

Maybe it's the baby? 8o :{ :lol

how is it sooo obvious unless youre sayin that the cia tried to blow up her and her boss?

like the ppl (terrorists?) that tried to kill her by blowin her up arent the same ones tasking quinn are they?

I think he's talking about the scenes. Carrie learns she was the target of the bombing on the way out (not necessarily the kid with the vest bomb) and then the next scene is Quinn doing his stuff and then decoding his next target is Carrie.

Put two and two together if you connect someone wanting Carrie dead with most of her last name spelled out for Quinn's next target. As for the bombing that may be connected since it was only after she survived that Saul put the new name in the mailbox.

The ppl who tasked the terrorists to plant that bomb may be the CIA. The dude that turned was said to be more scared of those guys than what his own boss would do to him.

We don't know that the terrorists tried to kill her.

We do know that there may be two sets or groups trying to kill her though because that attempt on her life was prior to Quinn pulling her name.

The failed attempt mat have been Saul, it may not have.

It could have prompted Saul to call on Quinn though once it failed but who knows, we shall see.
