From the Summer League footage I've seen, I really don't mind him on the team. He looks decent, but his game needs some work. If he turns out to be a decent reserve then I'm happy, his ethnicity doesn't make a difference to me.

It's great that Lin is doing well and him succeeding should not be ignored, but that shouldn't trump the accomplishments of someone who helped pave the way for what Lin is doing now.

I don't think he intended to diss Misaka.  All he is saying is that we weren't born when Misaka was in the L so we have no emotional connection to it.  J Lin is in OUR generation, an Asian American Bay Area kid, and we identify with him so that's why we feel excited and proud.

No that's not it.  PBA players suck.  Sure as a whole filipinos lack size but your biggest guys as a whole have no agility, lateral mobility and no ballhandling ability.  Japeth Aguilar is probably your most agile and athletic big man and he doesn't know how to handle the ball!  No excuse!  What the Philippines has to do is send their best athletes and have them train over here in the US or in Europe.
