did anyone notice in the flashback, that when Hurley's mom slapped the hell out of him, he put his hand on the opposite cheek. But when Hurley slapped Charlie, Charlie put his hand on the side that was slapped. I think this was a huge clue given to us.

This caught my attention because of a similar incident two episodes ago, when Desmond went to the interview and was looking at the picture. The picture was reversed or in the wrong position and then it disappeared when Desmond looked at it again ( there was a model boat in its place).

I think that everyones memory is somehow altered or fake. I draw this conclusion from one of the experiments carried out on the other island. The brainwashing experiment with video and loud music. Some of the memories could be artificial. Like from the movie Total Recall.

of this week's episode, when Vincent is carrying the arm, the arm gets flipped when Vincent briefly goes into some bushes.

And does anyone remember the scene from season 1 when Kate and Sawyer go swimming in that lake? Under the water, they see 2 bodies in seats and then they find a briefcase under those seats (the briefcase ends up having guns). I've never heard a good explanation for those seats. But my first impression was that the 2 people in those seats are similar to Kate and the guy who was escorting her except that she's on his left (whereas in the real flight she was on his right).

If this wasn't a production error ( its hard to get a dog to do something on t.v.) then it would imply that not only are the memories altered, but the reality we are seeing on the island is also altered, meaning it could be a dream within a dream. I don't think that is the case. Most likely, they couldn't get the dog to hold the arm in its mouth for a long period of time.

^^ vector23, you might be right about the flipped memories starting once the hatch exploded. It'll be interesting to see if this flipping continues in the next few episodes. And you're probably right about the dog, but I figured I'd point it out.

^did they just tell Sawyer to turn his shirt around? It looks like his shirt is being worn backwards (look at how high the shirt rides up on the collar and where the sweat is which would normally be on the back).

^ I think they just flipped the footage in editing (notice the small tears around the collar of the shirt), although the appearance of the sweat stain is interesting.

Some of the flipped images are probably dont to create more cinematic camera angles without having to use many cameras.

I do remember reading about the variations in Cindy's announcement during the plane crash. That has to do with a theory but I don't wanna get into that now. Too late for a discussion lol.
