Official Mitchell and Ness Thread: Jerseys, Hats, Shirts, Shorts, Questions POST EM UP

The year was ‘94

I don't know what you're trying to imply.

Those blue jerseys were worn by the designated visiting team in the 1992 to 1994 All-Star Games.

The Western Conference was the designated visiting team in the 1992 NBA All-Star Game. Magic Johnson retired in 1991, he only played in that game under special circumstances due to fans voting him in.

Man!!! So many good memories at The Murph/Qualcomm stadium. This was my first game since the squad left SD so it was a great experience (even tho we got dragged by the Seahawks 😩😂)…to answer your question, I’ve got several M&N Chargers jerseys in the collection both the powder blue and Navy LT’s, navy blue Seau, powder blue Alworth, the royal blue 84 Fouts and the home Kellen Winslow 💪🏾

I'll always prefer to call it Jack Murphy Stadium or The Murph since they're the initial names I knew before they sold out to name it Qualcomm Stadium. But its original name was San Diego Stadium as I learned in retrospect.

Nice to know it was your first game at SoFi Stadium. The crazy thing is they actually moved back since they played one season in L.A. at the Coliseum when they were in the old AFL, 1960 to be specific.

I had a feeling you had all those Chargers jerseys. I'm surprised you don't have a Charlie Joiner jersey from that '80s collection. I haven't seen those '80s Chargers jerseys since the 2000s. I recall the Lance Alworth jersey was $450 in the 2000s, but they actually went down to $300 in the 2010s.

Would you get an '80s Wes Chandler jersey if they made it? You should get one to emulate what Daniel LaRusso wore in The Karate Kid. 😆

M&N’s Rev 30s are pretty bad. The mesh holes on the numbers are way too big and the back numbers are wider than on the gamers.

It’s too bad that authentic Heat Rev 30s with mesh numbers from that era are so expensive.

Yea that jersey is just overall terrible. I’m glad I got an OG helmet tag Woodson when I did. Definitely one of my grails in the collection.

The poor quality on the numbers makes me feel like they basically got the blueprint from the bootleggers to make those NBA & NFL jerseys. The finished product on those, specifically the numbers, makes them look like fake jerseys you see in public. It's like they're charging you $300 for identical counterfeit crap that's sold in swap meets.

Thinking maybe less sales? They’ll basically have prices pegged at one set price for like 80% of the retailers so discounts/close outs will be less often.

They’ll probably also push all the authentic stuff in one place and shift the swingmans off to the other retailers.

The retailers working with Fanatics online actually have authentic stuff. Some have more or all of the authentic stuff, whereas as some have less. It all depends on the website you're looking at.

I like that 92 ASG Magic Johnson. Now that it's back I might change my mind and cop it. I've been back and forth on it personally whether to get it or not.

Get one if you can get a deal or discount on it. I think it's worth having if you're a true basketball fan. Better yet, get both legends with Magic Johnson & Michael Jordan with the 1992 NBA All-Star Game jerseys if you can get them under $300 apiece.

I need this jersey bad, had no idea they brought it back. This game is the earliest memory I have of watching basketball with my dad. And he taped it on VHS so we would always go back and re-watch it.

That jersey came out after the throwback fad died out by the mid-2000s. I believe it went out of circulation by the early 2010s.

That's a cool story to reminisce on as a basketball fan. VHS was clearly the correct format with that time period.

Finally! I got lucky and found this. Time to close my baseball list.

Nice find. And it is a true find because I believe those Cardinals Ozzie Smith jerseys have been out of circulation for a few years now. You definitely got one that was produced in the 2000s.
