so i was driving in downtown providence during the 15th and i was stopped at a red light by the bar when the home run happened. you know full well i left thecar running at the red light and ran into the bar to see the walkoff, and flipped an extra obnoxious bird to the cars behind me getting all impatient.

How can a team who has the HIGHEST payroll in sports history, have all these all-stars, and have soooooo many loyal fans have not shown anything in 9 years!!!!to me thats pretty damn sad

2001 lost to the d-backs in the world series. damn that team was pretty much an expansion team at the time
2002 NOTHING
2003 lost to the upstart florida marlins in the world series
2004 up 3-1 against the sox in the ALCS then choke
2005 NOTHING
2006 NOTHING
2007 NOTHING
2008 NOTHING
2009 ?

Flat out for a team to spend spend spend and not show anything for it is straight garbage.

Funny story from last night was at a birthday party for a friend and I'm sitting at the bar watching the game. A-Rod hits the HR, I Ric Flair at the top ofmy lungs, girl behind me screams and drops her glass of wine and complains that I should buy her another one.
