/thread.....smh at dude saying outdoor > indoor balls. Are you crazy? LOL I have no desire to play outdoor ever again. Once you go hardwood its hard to play outside.
And the wave! LMFAO! Get that trash way out of this thread! If you like that ball you suck at basketball.

A good friend of mine had the official NBA ball and he would bring it to the gym. I told him that nobody will play with that ball, or believe its the official ball. As most stated, it feels extremely cheap, and slippery out the box.

I definitely didn't mean outdoor > indoor if that's how it came across.

I just don't have much opportunity to play indoor much where I live. I live in a hippy town so all I get is outdoor courts.

I don't really like TF-1000s, probably because the one at my local gym in my hometown have been used for like 10 years and haven't been replaced.

At my old high school the cops open up the gym sometimes and one of them bought an official ball, it's broken in now and it's straight

Yeah, I hate the Evolution...its too damn soft and when its wet its hard to handle....

what the hell... really?
i feel the opposite. i was playing with the TF-1000 at a bball tryout and the ball was slipping like crazy. i never had this issue with my evolution. we changed the ball a few times (to a tf-1000) and it got wet and slippery really fast.

cosign on everything this man said.

I got a broken in TF1000, and ppl at the gym love it to the pt where some would even ask me for tips on how to break it in lol

I've seen the wave twice in my life, n nobody even considered playing with it. How do you guys convince ppl to ball in the wave when getting ppl to ball in the official ball is like pulling teeth?? Haha

Once you play with a broken in Official NBA ball, you'll NEVER go back to the traditional composite balls...Thats how buttery the official ball feels once its broken in

I've already converted most of my hoopin buddies to the Official ball, they love it... but like its been said time-and-time again...Straight out the box? the ball is

I've had mine a year and a half and it's still hard, slippery, and plastic feeling.

Ever since I've started to play with mines, I now hate Composite balls... but 8/10 times the majority of the people you hoop with will choose the Evolution, solution or the TF-1000 over the NBA ball

Exactly

People are stupid. Most idiots at would rather play with outdoor balls or a Evoultion a really worn ball TF 1000. Me personally I rather play with a NBA Game ball or FIBA game ball, I wanna play with a ball the pros play with not one that"feels better"

Why? If you don't mind me asking, so you can feel like a pro? I don't get it assuming the one that "feels better" offers greater utility.

Do you actually play with it?...lol

The one I bought was broken in after about 2 months of play, 3 days a week... 4 hours a day. The other one I have was broken in when I got it, its a Chicago Bulls issued ball.

It doesn't break itself in....

Why am I gonna play with a ball thats not an official ball? Thats fradulent!  Plus I play alot with guys who have played overseas.

my official nba ball has been breaking in nicely over the past few years (i don't play much at all so its definitely a slow process). but i've noticed a few things that makes the nba ball completely different than the tf1000 (the non-pro version). the first thing i noticed was the weight and the circumference of the ball. because the nba ball doesn't ahve any cushioning, the bladder is definitely bigger and u cant "squeeze" the nba ball like the tf1000. the second thing i noticed most was that the ball doesnt stick on the glass for bank shots as much. i think this again has to do with the cushion the tf1000 has. the last thing i noticed is the ball as the game progresses. the nba leather ball gets stickier as more perspiration is absorbed into the leather and starts off a lil slick to manage. the tf1000 is a great ball when starting off a game when the ball has been wiped down and the composite material doesnt have dirt / grime / sweat on it. but as the games progress, i definitely feel like there's a bit of buildup and it doesn't have nearly as great feel and gets slick. do i think both basketballs are good? yes. would i play with both? yes. would i understand if someone would rather play with the tf1000 over the nba official? yes. it's just a difference of feel imo
