I don’t know if it’s just because I’m burnt out on Jordan’s or maybe because I just didn’t have a lot of these growing up but these Nike retros are the only pairs that give me that feeling nowadays. Griffey’s, Penny’s, Uptempos, Zoom 95’s, Barkleys, the list goes on. I’ve been going after all those more than anything since probably 2020. My parents bought me a pair or 2 of Jordan’s most years when I was growing up so there was no way I could ask for these other Nike signatures. We couldn’t afford all of that. I did have a pair of diamond turfs once though. But yeah I wish they’d expand and go deeper into the Nike retro catalog than the pairs they seem to drop over and over. There’s so much there. They probably don’t see it as being profitable though, very niche market that only a bunch of late 30’s to early 50’s guys would actually be able to appreciate.

These do seem to be drying up in certain sizes though. I was hoping for disco but it seems like the new Nike strategy of less volume is in effect.
