"natural disaster".

Anyway, took apart my Cosmos II last night and removed the useless LED controller cables from the built-in fan controller. Then I proceeded to take apart the whole system, re-wire everything, and remount the H80 waterblock. Was bored.

Hey guys I need help on deciding what power supply I should upgrade to...preferably between 600-650w and I'm hoping to spend between $50-$100. If possible I'd like to spend close to $50 but by looking at well known brands that I've heard were good like Antec and Corsair it looks like I'm going to have to spend around the amount I previously stated. Any suggestions or other brands I should look into?

THIS. Especially if you plan to overclock in the future.Kinda regretting my PSU choice for my rig... But mostly it's because of it being non-modular than anything.

Yep, Im sure you'd save yourself alot of frustration and stress when your cheapo psu decides to flop and fry your whole system.

I'm planning on changing my PSU sometime in the future(now until end of summer),either semi or full modular.

Seems like a tradition for me every summer, I just go balls out on upgrading my desktop.

yup. Looking to replace my Cooler Master GX 750 with a Corsair AX 850 or some of the new Platinum rated ones that just released recently, next year.

I wish the AX 1200 were cheap, though (albeit unnecessary). Anything less than a 1200W PSU just doesn't look right in my case.

Drivers arent optimized yet
The guy who posted ridiculous benchmarks on OCN of his GTX 670 unknowingly (at that time) had Lucid Virtu MVP enabled. So that's why the benchmarks were so way off.

AX1200 those a fully modular correct with individual sleeving?
Gonna upgrade my OCZ StealthXStream 2 600W to the Corsair HX650 for 129.99 at memoryexpress (will price match from 117.99 from ncix for 114.99)
But then I researched some more and found the HX750 at 129.99 at ncix compared to 159.99 at ME with price match to $122.49 which is great.
I may jump on the nvidia 600 series either the 670 thats gonna be released thursday, 680 if i can find one. heck I heard they might push back the 660ti to Q3 2012.

^ Correct about the AX1200.

I'd say go for the 670. Seems more bang-for-the-buck. But the 680 is nice.

I'm currently trying to sell my non-SLI capable P67 motherboard. Looking to replace it with with a Z77 ASUS Sabertooth instead of the cheaper Z68. That could last me a while. Not really upgrading the CPU for another 4 years or so, anyway... or until Ivy Bridge is dirt cheap, so I can take advantage of PCIe 3.0.

No Z77 boards out in the market support Dolby Home Theater now (for my MixAmp).

Guess I'll have to cop that cheap ASUS Xonar DG card to have one.

^ I know. I was lucky enough to cop one for $499 on release day... but i had to pay $50 tax.

2o4 and anyone else looking to cop a GTX 680, you might want to look into this: the EVGA GTX 680 is in backorder on this site, but they say they have 404 units incoming/on order... and you can put it in your shopping cart and order regardless of availability. 200+ people already have theirs backordered. Fair price, too (slightly higher than retail, though):

Fixed.

It's more of a supply shortage (low yields) than the hype, to be honest, as to why it's sold out everywhere. I wonder how they're going to handle more demand as the other GK104-based GPUs are released.

^lol can nnever get them to work. smh

you think nvidia did that on purpose?
