I wrestled and trained with girls early in highschool due to my low weight class. Not one person complained or batted an eyeMan he’s supporting got dozens of sexual assault cases against him with convictions.
Wonder at what age the sports thing becomes an issue. My son’s first bball team had girls on it. My daughter got her yellow belt in karate and half the class was made of boys.

These last few pages remind me of conversations I’ve had with my friends who are basically single-issue voters with gun reform, Palestine and their idea of the "economy" without ever even learning about the basics of Economics. While I understand the impulse to prioritize a cause you deeply care about, it becomes problematic when that issue doesn’t have a significant impact on your life or when it overshadows other pressing concerns affecting the broader community. Actual issues that could have far-reaching consequences for everyone like reproductive rights. That's just one thing, the list is longer on Trumps side.
Someone having fears about biological males competing with their daughters are warranted, but it only affects you, and a small percentage of others. It's selfish, you can vote how you want, but you have to understand that it is selfish. Don't stand a pedestal and compare your problems to others and wonder why they are critical of it when its not even compareable. Voting is about making choices that not only serve your interests but also consider the well-being of the nation as a whole. So yes, vote how you want, but at least recognize that when your primary focus is on something with limited impact, it may be perceived as prioritizing your comfort over the greater good. I wish my life was so privileged that the only thing I am concerned about is a sporting event my kids partake in.

If my daughter ever had a game/situation where a transgender played against her (“God forbid!”) I’d tell her to keep it pushing. It would be a non-issue, we’re not afraid of the gay/trans community the way apparently some people are
My daughter plays basketball. Some of the girls she’s went up against were double my size and I’m 6”. Is what it is

The people at that meet breaking records, were born women and they got zero shine even from the “protecting ‘our’ girls” people
Lia Thomas didn’t break a single record or even come close (missy Franklin, Katie ledecky and 2 of the women at that meet have those college records), won a single event
Meanwhile at thar meet you had Kate Douglass who swam 3 individual races, won 3 individual races and broke every record in those events.. also win 3 relays and broke records in those relays too
Meanwhile we still hearing from the girl who came tied for 5th

It’s not political, that’s the thing. Bigotry doesn’t have a place in our political system. If you want to champion taking human rights away in the name of a political party, you should go to a homophobic forum and spew that stuff. Gay and trans Americans have rights and we wouldn’t tolerate someone speaking down on all black Americans, all women, all Latinos, etc. That wouldn’t be considered political “discussion”, that would be considered racist garbage. This is no different.

I had to go back and read the thread to see how we got here and bruh lives in Washington state. He’s lucky enough to live in a state where if worse comes to worse regarding a pregnancy his daughter and other's in the future as well as the women who live there now are protected by that states laws for **** that really matters.
Being fortunate enough to live in a state ACTUALLY protecting women’s rights so you can vote on trivial stuff like being bothered by a trans kid in a soccer match. The irony.

I'll never understand why someone cares about what someone else is doing. If Jimmy wants to become Jane, great for them. Cindy wants to date Becky? Happy for the couple. Why on earth would I care? I just want people to be happy, especially when those actions do not affect me in the least.
