I work in behavioral services and most of the people we work with basically have zero income and are homeless so any and all services they get between medical/mental/behavioral are paid with Medicaid dollars.
For us, that doesn't mean we would reject services, ppl would still receive them but we wouldn't survive financially without it.

The only way they can do it is raise or end the debt ceiling. It’s easier to backtrack on fiscal responsibility than someone’s dead family member.

Yeah. It's more about getting a clear, simple message out there. Cause we all know the Dems and they'll do ads and interviews talking about "well when we were in office we tried to work on a bipartisan deal etc etc etc"
And we all know the repubs are going to try and spin it that it's actually the Dems fault.
Get everybody in line and start placing the blame where it belongs in easy, simple language. Nothing else. This last cycle taught us that a lot of people don't care how you're going to fix things in the future but they sure as hell know whos holding the bag when things go bad. We need to start using that.
