Hold the line brahs, the winds will pass

Obamacare's price spike announcements were far more devastating, that abc poll went from a +13 Clinton lead to a +1 in like 4 days.

yeah just in case anyone doesn't know, this is not true. You don't look at single polls, you look at aggregate, the effect of obamacare was not significant, comey letter was.

The idea that Obamacare premium spikes killed hillary is paticularly absurd given that Donald Trump counter proposal is to take away peoples healthcare.

never midnd the fact that people just don't really vote on policy like that.

umm da polls were collapsing because of da Obamacare news...unless u wanna explain that Clinton freefall in 4 days.. :nerd:

Comey's letter screwed her.

no....da collapse happened BEFORE comey issued da letter...

here' where she had a double digit lead.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/clin...d-boosted-broad-disapproval/story?id=42993821

All told, Clinton leads Trump by 12 percentage points among likely voters, 50 to 38 percent, in the national survey, her highest support and his lowest to date in ABC News and ABC News/Washington Post polls

This ABC News poll was conducted by landline and cellular telephone Oct. 20-22, 2016,

this is where da collapse happened..

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box...oll-trump-surges-to-within-1-point-of-clinton

Clinton leads Trump, 46 percent to 45 percent, in a four-way race including Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and the Green Party’s Jill Stein in the latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll. Johnson has 4 percent support, while Stein has 2 percent.
Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, led Trump by 12 points in that poll, 50 percent to 38 percent, early last week.

The poll of 1,160 likely voters, conducted Oct. 25–28, has a margin of error of 3 points.

and here's da evidence that da comey letter wasnt da certified nail...

A majority of all likely voters say they are unmoved by the FBI's announcement Friday that it may review additional emails from Clinton's time as secretary of state. Just more than 6 in 10 voters say the news will make no difference in their vote, while just more than 3 in 10 say it makes them less likely to support her; 2 percent say they are more likely to back her as a result.

"it was all good a week ago"

First of all, Democrats weren't a monolith coming election time and during the Comey letter event, there were plenty anti Hillary democrats that cheered on Comey

 everybody from Hilary Clinton's constituency to Sean Hannity wanted Comey's head on a stick...this is indisputable.

Thinking about taking screenshots of NH and posting them to reddit... Can't figure out if they should be in /Cringe or /Trashy :nerd:... maybe just /Sad..

da sentiments of da Democrats via da View right when Comey "cleared" Hillary of intent of carelessness of handling classified emails da second time.

I really hope that Democrats do not over emphasize the Russia investigation. It will make great fodder in certain purple and red leaning districts which we need to win. At the same time, that cannot be our exclusive message. We have to talk about how we will make people's lives better.

Many Democrats will think that Russia is like Benghazi/Emails but a million times worse. In some ways they are right on the substance but they may be incorrect on the politics.

The GOP base (which is most of the party's coalition) consists of scared white people and the politics of crime have become their favored vector to talk about race and power dynamics. In many reactionary suburbs, flashy prosecutors and vindictive sheriffs are rock stars. the politics of crime are talked about in terms of a non working, criminal city versus a "hard working" virtuous suburbia. Nancy Grace and Judge Jeanine are very popular TV in these deep red districts. The most lively topic of civic discourse in not how to make schools better or how to bring in better jobs or cleaner streets and parks, the reactionary suburb's main topic of discussion is how lightly "criminals" are punished (apparently leading the World in persons incarcerated is just too Namby Pamby for these people).

In the age of Obama, the GOP ramped up its ticky tack approach to criminal justice within the halls of power. They applied petty broken windows policing to high profile Democrats.

While it is worthwhile for the Democratic Party to hound Trump and his team as long as possible, I just don't want us to get tunnel vision. The Democratic coalition is the real worker's coalition and is comprised of a vast array of marginalized groups. Every twist and turn of the Russia affair is titillating for lawyers and political junkies but I don't want the 2018 election, the most important election since the 1860's, to hinge exclusively palace intrigue and legalese.

True. I feel like Dems just can't sit back and point 'Look at how bad Donald is, you got to vote for the other guy'

That's kinda what they did during the election and that didn't work out

How much longer before Donald Trump is rocking some fake medals? After all, he has legal authority to wear whatever costume he wants to wear.
