***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Thoughts? I'll give mine below.

WEAK. What a weak statement. This is why George W Bush is a LOSER. Why is he trying to make peace? NO. You have to DO-MI-NATE. You have to destroy. You have to burn. You have to show them who is the boss.

This is not a time for discussion or discourse. It is a time for disruption and destruction. We have to DESTROY the libs. Send them a message that, in this country, speaking out will NEVER be tolerated, unless you are speaking out about beach access or getting a haircut. No American should have to go 3 months without a haircut. That is the real injustice in America right now.

George needs to know his place. It is DISRESPECTFUL and OUT OF LINE for him to imply that an American president is not doing a SUPERJOB. And not one mention about how handsome Donald J Trump looked yesterday holding up that Bible? George Bush? NAH. More like, George Soros's Puppet.

Cons are gonna lose their mind when he endorses Biden.

I'm not sure to whom you are referring.

The Fedora reference implies libertarian but the Gramsci reference implies Marxist.

If you're referring to a poster or public figure, who is libertarian; guess what, you can't claim that racism is subordinate to classism if your worldvew doesn't believe in either. *taps head*

Now if you're referring to me, I don't know what you're going off of. I do call out politicians and companies who use the struggles of marginalized groups and the language of social justice advocates to plaster over their complicity in a destructive and grossly unequal economic system. I mention that capital, in general, and real estate capital, in particular, handcuffs Democratic politicians, especially officials in big metro areas, from doing very much to reform the criminal-legal system let along pursue policies that are informed by police and/or prison abolition. I fail to see how pointing out capitalism, as a force that frequently buttresses and often times depends on white supremacy, is putting "class first."

Now, if you're talking about the Marxists out there who do say that racism is just a sideshow to class struggle, I join you in saying that if these uprisings and the events leading up to it don't change their minds, maybe nothing will. I just haven't seen that expressed by anyone in this thread.
I'm referring to the members of the dirtbag left who believe that the one and only form of oppression they can possibly face is, coincidentally, the one arch-injustice to rule them all.

Essentially, the social justice equivalent of this:

I actually have seen some comments to that effect within the thread, but I'll give you a blatant example from outside the thread that we had to delete recently:

(Here’s a hint: because working class lives matter most - at least to the wealthy - when they’re spending money at retail. And that’s what Mars, Mike and the other puppets have us believing.)
When this user was called a MAGA supporter, he responded,
0/1

I’m a Marxist (that means I’m on your side, sort of)

I had to double check that it wasn't aepps20 aepps20 debuting a new character.

The sad thing for everyone in here is that the post Methodical Management Methodical Management made shows a clear blind spot by one of the usual posters in here. I am disgusted anyone would make that post and I'm extremely disappointed that I didn't make this post as it correctly matches my views and belief.

Wasn't that in the flint 13s thread?

We're all extremely disappointed in you.

You let us down.

If forced to choose, I'd take a NazBol podcaster over an investment banker who facilitates mergers between companies that paint rainbows on anti homeless spike and companies that engrave quotes from "the Help" on their fracking drills. That said, it'd be a tough choice and thankfully most of the left sees both economic and racial injustice propping up our current system.

I wish I were in the thread where this guy was posting that he's MAGA and marxist. I'd tell him that the two are incompatible. If it were an aepps20 aepps20 character, I'd tell him the two are incompatible so stop being Marxist and dialectically get back into the mines, MAGA, Mine American Greatness Again!

Socialism and white supremacy are not incompatible.

The left claims they see both economic and racial injustice, yet continuously argue that the racial injustice in secondary.

Routinely telling stories and making arguments that implicitly let white people off the hook for the current state of affairs.

It's very frustrating that every allusion to socialism, Marxism is met with these slick little attempts to say that all or most leftists are secret white supremacists.

We criticize white supremacy and anti racism on here and that is not met with insinuations that all anti-racists secretly love neoliberal capitalism.

Well at least you're being direct about it, Rusty.

It was.

I'm glad you reject the concept of "accelerationism."

I say that without irony, in case you're concerned. My comments are directed at class-reductionists.

You're misunderstanding the quote. He's saying 0/1, meaning "you're wrong," he doesn't identify as a Trump supporter.

This was how he identified:

I’m a Marxist (that means I’m on your side, sort of)

The "sort of" at the end there...

That's where I thought aepps20 aepps20 got me. As we've learned over the past few years, sometimes self-satire is the most vicious satire of all.

No one came close to saying this. So spare me

No one said you didn't criticized white supremacy or secretly racist. But some of the **** you guys say, many of the left say, leads me and many others to believe that you have not truly grappled with how powerful of a force white supremacy is in America, and that it can live in harmony along side far left economic policies.

Too many use the fact they identify socialist/marxist/leftist as reason to dismiss anyone that points out problematic dynamics within the coalition.

Also Marxist, you included, insinuate nefarious motives all the damn time. It is only when called out do you measure and walk **** back.

We have been down this road before, I have no interest is going down it tonight
