This aligns with America returning to the “gilded age” and the destruction of the social safety net. The social safety net is also the social contract between the rich and the working poor that for respecting my right to live, we’ll respect your right to live. The idea that that assassins would be from a singular political party is absurd. What does it matter to someone if the person with the foot on their neck is a republican or a democrat?

I no way did I agree with his ideology, but people really celebrating this have issues. He leaves behind a wife and two kids. In no way shape or form is it ok to kill someone for their ideology.

My dad who is in his 60s could probably make that shot. 200 yards with the right rifle and accurate sights isn’t that far. The best shooters can hit their mark from a mile away.

On a macro level for society, this is very bad. The normalizing of political violence is a terrible place for a country to be stuck in.
And people should not lose sight on that
I just take issue with the Democrat hating dudes trying to lecture people about not feeling sorry for Charlie Kirk being dead. Because they are using this situation to grab the moral high ground in bad faith
The same way you had people in here talking about how liberals should stop calling out Trump authoritarian aspirations because they and they alone are fanning the flames. Ignoring Trump's own actions
I don't think people should celebrate Kirk's death. But I also think using his death as a vehicle to lecture liberals is bad faith nonsense.
Charlie Kirk didn't care about political violence when it was happening to left wing people. So I think people shouldn't act like him. But I also think that makes him a very unsympathetic victim. These people acting in bad faith are insulting people's intelligence by acting like they can't understand why many people don't feel bad for him specifically.

Had a few people delete me on FB and got blocked by another because I’ve been posting inflammatory Charlie Kirk quotes and screenshots of stuff he tweeted over the years that he actually openly said and proudly believed on peoples “the left is evil” “the left is causing this” posts. My friend list is decreasing. But who cares. Nothing wrong with showcasing the guy for what he was.
