I don't want us to make the playoffs because we will get humiliated by Tampa, Green, Bay and AZ.

Better we lose now, because we deserve it the way this team played today.

The more we lose, the sooner Jimmy is out of there, the better it is for the overall health of this organization so they can get to work on their main investment- #3 pick Trey Lance.

Unless it’s throwing west coast time

It could be a 4:25 est time. Or they could flex it to either the Sunday night game or one of the two Saturday games. We won’t know until after the week 17 games though.

Which kinda sucks because I’m flying into LA Sunday specifically to go the 49ers Rams game. If it gets flexed to Saturday that’s going to suck for me. I know the NFL likes to flex games with playoff implications to the Saturday games late in the season. They did so for Patriots Colts and Raiders Browns, even though Raiders Browns ended up getting moved to Monday due to Covid. But they made that announcement a few weeks back.

Pushing 2 random week 18 games to Saturday with only a few days notice is lame on the NFL’s end though. I know they want their ideal games getting the prime tv slots. But people are traveling from out of state to these games and that last minute schedule change is going to screw over people from whatever team ends up playing those games fanbases.

This dude Brosizzlew30.23 reminds me of some of the older head Cowboys fans I see around my way in that they’re stuck in the glory days and anything less than that is unacceptable. And that’s not necessarily a slight at them. If you’re old enough to remember and fully appreciate those runs, I get it, anything less than that is just going to be unacceptable to them.

But at the same time, January 1995 is going to be 27 years ago come next month. This team has had 6 total winning seasons since 1999. It should be 7 after this season. But they’re not the same team and organization they once were. The glory days are long gone, and hopefully they can recapture that magic, winning tradition, and sustained success. I’ll make the Cowboys comparison, because it’s similar with them in terms of being over a generation removed from the glory days. Granted the 49ers have a had a bit more success than them but it’s a similar sentiment with what I see from a lot of heads out here. But in order to get back into that Super Bowl or bust mentality. They 49ers need to compete and make the playoffs consistently. 6 playoff appearances since 1999 doesn’t warrant a Super Bowl or bust mentality. That’s why I’ll be happy if they make the playoffs and make any type of noise in the process. Yeah Super Bowls are the ultimate goal. But you increase your chances of winning the Super Bowl by making the playoffs regularly and having a chance every year.

For all the Jimmy slander, you got teams in this league who’ve been drafting qb after qb for decades hoping to find their guy. Often using high first round picks who don’t pan out. I really think people underestimate how hard it is to land an elite upper level qb in this league. I’m legit curious to fully see what they have with Trey next season, but there’s room to have something there to build upon going into next year.
