:::OFFICIAL SNEAKER CARE/MAINTENANCE POST::: (It's back!)

I was able to dye my soles without seaglow. I got a big pot, and filled it with hot water. Then I added the right amount of evening blue RIT liquid dye. Then I put my separated soles in there and left it for about 2 hours. They came out icy as can be. Now I'm cleaning off the old dried up glue (takes forever!) off the shank plate. Once that is done I'm going to glue them back on with barge cement, then whiten the mesh up with some RIT fabric whitener. Almost done
picsssss

I'm getting better at whitening the mesh.. Here's what I have so far. They aren't done yet people! They can still be WHITER.

I basically used the rit method. I boiled water and added the rit powder in a container. I used a tooth brush to spread it on the mesh. I re apply the solution every 30  60 minutes and rinse it off when i am finished.

Pics? Were you soles yellowed before you dyed them this way?

Can't post pics on iPad, sorry guys. I'll find someone to email the pics and then they can post for me.

WARNING! Make sure you measure out the water to dye ratio. I went in for a second dying session and now they are as blue as the baby 2011 Concords :(

But it doesn't look THAT bad. It's better than brown. Is there a way to take dye out of clear soles? :(

got some dirt/gasoline on the white mesh toeboxes of my AM90s. Tried water and a rag...helped, but not completely gone. Any ideas?

Probably been posted but I'm so impressed I felt the need to post it lol. Winded removes scuffs from patent leather, had a mean scuff of my Christmas Lebron 8s, and it got it right out

:eek at the restorations in here you guys are :hat

I whitened the patent leather  No comparison pictures as of now though :( But I do have the bottom soles for comparison.

Edit #2: Even though these look seaglowed, I didn't. It's the original tint showing again. I bet a few of you guys didn't know the originals had a blue tint. Even the Concord's had the tint.

Makes more sense now that they are tinting the 11's again but they are over doing it with all jordan releases.

that looks :hat how do you do it?
my concords are starting to yellow a little already :{

more info on patent whitening process, please?

my all star xx3's have been yellow as for a while. although they're pretty beaten by now, a whitening would make them much sexier.

People try retrobrite and sauce on white patent leather. It never really get white, just not as yellow.
