Damn

I'm not surprised though. When Janet, the only living one with superstar talent left in the family, didn't like it and Tito and rest did like it I figured something was amiss.

But I also didn't really see the point of this given we already have The Jacksons: An American Dream

Saw this recently and thought she put it well. None of the other names have the same fame, range, gravitas, experience, charm etc that makes him so right for it regardless of race. Sounds like he's not rocking with it though so let's move on. Slight side eye to Idris on this one for now.

In fairness......I wonder if the reason he isn't really pushing for it is age. He's 53ish years old. If he signed today, first film he's 55.

58 by second film?

If he was 40, I bet he'd be listening more intently.

I'm just guessing tho. I could be way off.

Roger Moore was 46 in his first Bond movie, and 58 in his last one. I don't see it happening.

Yeah. I just looked it up and Sean Connery was “only” 52 when he came back for Never Say Never Again after a 12 year Bond hiatus. That was his last one.

Definitely seems a bit late for Edris to start the gig now.

There’s history to this. This campaign has been a thing for almost 2 decades. Initially Idris was down and hyped so many ppl were hyping it and behind him for the role.

Then the Sony hack revealed producers were actually considering him. Then the racists entered the chat. Then certain ppl in the business from his country started saying racist **** and taking it back about him being Bond.

I’m curious of your thoughts after watching. Preferably spoiler-free because it would be cool if others watched as well

Friedkan's consecutive three film run of The French Collection, The Exorcist and Sorcerer has to rank up there among the all time greats. Dude was deep in his bag throughout the 70s:nthat:

Sorcerer was one helluva white-knuckle thriller. That PG rating totally threw me off . The film was visually stunning.. So many scenes from this movie are going to be permanently seared into my brain from now on. Surprised the film wasn't more well received, but it looks like it got swallowed up due to it releasing alongside Star Wars.

Awesome movie. You could really feel the whole sweaty, muddy, and humid ordeal seeping through the screen.

Saw both Project Hail Mary and The Drama.

Project was great 4/5. A bit too long, but great performance by Gosling and loved Rocky.

Drama was also great 4/5. Solid performance from both leads, its the first time I felt like Zendaya actually came off as an adult/grown person to me when playing and adult if that makes sense.
