NB has what it seems to be a 20% site wide sale. Best options for wide footers and supercomp elites/rebels/unreleased 1080v14/etc seem to qualify.

They never really have sales on those from what I see so I went ahead and bought now and figured I returned them if needed. Hopefully still works in 3 days when the v14s are out.

Side note: I did finally get some basketball shoes as well - only brand that has wide sizes for basketball shoes. First time so we’ll see if I keep them.

I picked up the Glycerin Max today and took them right out for a run. These are a great shoe and can handle a variety of paces. Despite the weight, I was able to run faster than marathon pace the entire run. I’ll need some more miles to really assess them but are a candidate for shoe of the year.

the height ever bother you guys? is it pretty stable?

ive kind of toned down on shoes being too tall as i start to feel it on my ankle a bit especially with the adizero prime x which is 50mm in the heel iirc

the gmax being 45 => 39 is just super tall, i gotta buy em from somewhere that lets me run in em a few times and then return if it doesnt work, buying directly from brooks is good because i think they still have the 90day return policy used or not but im also afraid of hurting myself

Glycerin Max feels the most stable to me of the super max shoes I've run in (Superblast 1 & 2, Prime X Strung, Prime X Strung 2, SuperComp Trainer 1-3, Cielo X1), with the Strung 2 in 2nd.

Would strongly recommend the Puma MagMax as a contender in that supermax stack height trainer realm as well. At 46mm of Nitro Elite foam, it is absurdly bouncy and is lighter than the Glycerin Max or Skyward X. Have really enjoyed running in them!

The Magmax are on my list of shoes to pick up at some point. I would’ve picked them up but my size sold out during the Puma sale last week.

Just picked up the Glycerin Max and was able to get a pair of the Superblast 2 that are being delivered this week so I’m good for a while unless I can get lucky with the Adizero Evo SL on the 25th.

I told myself I was going to hold off. I have 6/7 pairs with less than or right around 100 miles each that I already rotate but Im weak and I had a small gift card plus the $30 off working on zappos so i just grabbed the Glycerin maxes for $167. Pretty excited to try them out this weekend.

10% rakuten and zappos has 10X's points right now too so I think I'll get another $40 or so off

I’ve had a couple of really good runs in the Glycerin Max. It’s up there with the Mach X2 Skyward X, and Superblast 2 as my favorite shoe of the year.
