Just seen the Ateneo team train here in Vegas. Still a very deep team. Watch out for Tiongson, Erram and Pessumal to break out this year. ONE BIG FIGHT!

Manila, Philippines – The readiness of National University and La Salle for the UAAP season will be tested today as the they collide for the Filoil Flying V Preseason Hanes Cup crown today at The Arena in San Juan.

NU and La Salle meet at 4 p.m. with the winner to take the title of this rigorous three-month preseason cagefest that has witnessed some thrilling and tension-filled action.

Both teams downed their fancied rivals in the semifinals to arrange an all-or-nothing collision for the championship.

With UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. dropping 30 points and Jeoffrey Javillonar and Denice Villamor leading a 10-three eruption, the Bulldogs dominated UAAP champion Ateneo, 85-68, on Saturday.

Almond Vosotros continued his splendid play in the Filoil tourney by dropping a go-ahead three as La Salle stunned NCAA champion and erstwhile unbeaten San Beda, 50-46, in the other semis pairing.

La Salle, which also has sensational rookie Jeron Teng, Norbert Torres and center Yutien Andrada, will have its hands full against NU.

The Bulldogs, behind Parks and Cameroonian center Emmanuel Mbe, have won all 10 games during the tournament, thus making them the prohibitive favorites in the finale.

“We’re just happy that we got this far in the tournament,

is it archers vs. bulldogs for the finals? haven't been following the tournament

2012 Fil-Oil Pre-Season Tournament

Some games will be held at MOA Arena and Smart Araneta Colliseum.
@ Manilaboyxix...mukhang ok ang recruitment class ng DLSU kumuha na rin ata sila ng Import

Wala parin import DLSU.
