Never had it, most likely won't have it until someone makes it for me/find a girl that's has a non american background and can cook/or I visit another steel pan competition.

I'm Dominican bro, this is a staple of my diet. I can eat this for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

You have to try mofongo. Its mashed up fried plantains with garlic, other spices and usually fried pig skins and served with some kind of meat or fish on the side. :x(in a good way)

I am too. Mofongo is great. Make sure you have gum for after because your breath will be kicking.
 
I used to date a Colombian girl that would always fry plantains, but i forgot what they were actually called. They were shaped like circles and composed of bits of plantains. She killed it some type of garlic sauce as well...
