Please LOCk

I'm all for rebuilding, but why wasn't this salary cap purge held last year?
Pretty much wasted 2 years. (last year and this upcoming one)

Because we started the season $25 million OVER the cap. They simply couldn't cut anyone with cap hits until they got back to at least zero. Thats why Huff was reworked in the first place, just so we could become compliant. We couldn't absorb cutting him last year.

Its a process. Be patient.

This is EXACTLY what this franchise has needed for the past decade plus. A complete teardown. The foundation was flawed and all we've been doing is repainting the same broken house for years. It's far from over too. There's still termites in the wood.

BOOOOO THIS MAN!!!!!!!! lol.

Just heard it is confirmed Vince Young is in prelimin talks to work out for the Raiders....PLEASE NO....PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEEEEE NO.
Vic Tafur @VicTafur

Another way to spin Vince Young "buzz" -- agent asks for workout and Raiders say "hmmm, maybe, we'll get back to you."

I hope we can sign Nick Roach, he's a solid MLB for the bears, did a good job backing up Urlacher

Vince Young has just been asking for opportunities to talk to teams and tell them why he deserves a second chance. Reggie is just listening, doesn't mean anything at this point. Has anyone heard anything about Shaugnessy?

Well Dashon went to the Buccs(I really wanted him all be it a pipe dream)

Glenn Dorsey went to SF.(I was hoping to land him too.)

Yeah, I'm for sure thinking that NO free agent wants any part of Oakland at the moment. Unless they have already burned all their bridges with other teams or viewed as "has beens"

If they're cheap I'm down. Just give me entertaining football. Winning records within the division I'd be somewhat happy again lol.

“@AdamSchefter: Former Browns LB Kaluka Maiava signed with the Raiders: 3 years, $ 6 million.”

Raiders hosting Terence Newman
Posted by Mike Wilkening on March 14, 2013, 10:10 AM EDT

Bengals free agent cornerback Terence Newman will visit Oakland on Thursday, Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com reported Thursday morning.

Newman will be 35 in September, and it’s unlikely he would be a long-term fit in Oakland. That said, Newman played well for the Bengals a season ago, notching 75 tackles and intercepting two passes in 15 starts for Cincinnati. Pro Football Focus, which tracks and rates player performance, graded him as the No. 19 cornerback in the NFL last season.

The Raiders added three serviceable, lower-profile defensive free agents on Wednesday: linebacker Kaluka Maiava, defensive tackle Pat Sims and defensive end Jason Hunter.

I also say nah to Newman.

Todd McShay saying the Jets could be a team going after Geno. Trading the pic and staying in the top ten would be ideal.
