Well with Kovalev, he has the 3 other belts so the WBC can't force a unification. With Pascal, IIRC, he is the #1 contender but Adonis' last defense came in May so they can't force it yet. As long as that fool Yvon Michel keeps picking a date for the mandatory defense, it's showing that he is doing what he can and the WBC won't step in. But, the way Adonis has been acting and running lately, he could probably claim the silver champion should have precedent over Pascal and force that fight. Besides, he's too busy demanding Canadian money he hasn't earned.

In other words, it's just more ********.

Kovalev vs Pascal in March

 Stevenson wants no parts of either fighter, watch him fight Hopkins next :smh:
I struggle to follow the who is with who promotional battle but does that play into this?
Why isn't Adonis being forced to fight a unification bout?

He was forced, but he ran from the HBO bout vs Kovalev and switched to Showtime thinking he would get a bigger fight vs Hopkins. That didn't work out, Hopkins took the Kovalev fight and Stevenson stood around looking foolish. He could've redeemed himself by taking the Pascal fight in Canada but that's out the window. Only fight left is Hopkins but he's chasing BIG checks, not sure if Adonis fits that bill anymore.

Kind of dug this so thought I'd share....

"I will box for the rest of my life," he says. "It's an impossible form to master because it's like a language and every day you find new ways to use what you have. I'm nowhere close to mastering it," he says. "I could talk for hours about it. It's so wonderful for the mind and especially for youth, to understand how to express your physical power. I think especially, talking as a man, to know you are capable of a certain power and to know that you don't have to use it."

Tempted to go. Wouldn't mind seeing Eddie Gomez and Zach Ochoa. Anyone know if those will be televised?

I rock with Gabe too.

Really wanted my first visit to Barclays for boxing to be for a better card though.

Rumors are surfacing Haymon and Floyd are targeting to fight Miguel Cotto again. They are in talks with his attorney, camp, etc.

Would be funny if Mayweather was the simultaneous welterweight, junior middleweight and middleweight champion

Adonis Stevenson needs to dump Haymon, he's killing his wallet.

I thought he'd handle Pascal easily, but running from Kovalev could be better for his career tbh. As dishonorable as it is, it most likely allows him to avoid a KO loss. He'll prob get decent checks fighting bums on showtime without any risk of injury or brain trauma

thing is he only joined Haymon right when he was supposed to fight Kovalev, he knew exactly what he was doing.   He knew signing with Haymon was going to put the immediate fight with Kovalev in serious jeopardy.

good for pascal fighting Kovalev, stevenson has no legit fights out there at the moment.

Kovalev and Quillin have lost a lot of fans and respect over the past couple yrs

The Zachary Ochoa fight won't be televised.

I don't want to see Cotto Vs Mayweather again rather see Cotto Vs GGG /Canelo

Rumor Pac only did 300k.

It was in Macau China  What did people expect? Let any other PPV fighter fight there, they're doing the same numbers or worst.

He aint getting KO's no more, he's aging and definitely not as exciting. Wouldn't be surprised

If the ref stopped the fight like he was about to in the 9th round. Pac would've had a TKO victory. Then what?

I heard 300K was being generous

He could have fought this guy on top of the Empire State Building and they still would have drawn this much. No one wanted to see this fight.

I still crack up at him demanding 50/50 because he was the draw.

 I didn't say if Pacman fought in the states, he would do better numbers... I said if any other fighter fought at Macau, they would do worse.

And I'm pretty sure that's all money hungry Bob Arum's influencing.

Pacman isn't even asking for 50, 45 or even 40 right now. He just wants to fight. I wish PBF would just accept the challenge already. It's getting old!

Oh, that wasn't a shot at you man or disagreeing with you

It was, the casino/hotel paid him a gigantic amount of money to host the Rios fight so he didn't even offer the Algieri fight up to anyone in Vegas.

With the 50/50 thing, I meant back when it was an in demand fight and they were both finding ways to duck out of it.
