How can J.Cole & Pop be synonymous? No track on "Forest Hills" is radio friendly. Not even "Role models"

POP Music is "Popular" music no matte the genre.... But what ever happened to american pop music??? Is that dead? Has EDM / House taken over the americans? I came across this record on facebook, thought it was pretty good...but is it good enough?
