to be fair, its all ice under that thin snow.
I was in Denver in 10 inches of snow when this happened in Portland (where Im).
Driving on snow is cake, driving on ice is a different story

i remember that storm.. in portland there was a layer of ice, snow, then ice on top again at least half a inch thick.... it was a mess... you would have tostomp on the snow just to walk and it was at least 4-6 inches deep... i know its not as bad as other places around the states but making sure your beer dontbreak on the ice FTL..

From 2007.

Nobody around here can drive in snow or ice. Part of it is bad drivers, part of it is that the city has like 3 snow plows and is never prepared to deal withroads.

On the plus side, the whole city shuts down over any snow at all, and we used to miss days of school for 2-3 inches of snow.

My mom's car got hit by 3 other cars, one of which was a cop car, and totaled in a similar situation last year.
