Read this the other day....goes to show that people are willing to spend money on just about anything. :lol

Meet the ex-con whose prison workout is taking over New York

It was a simple postage stamp, of all things, that saved his life.

Coss Marte was nearly at the end of a seven-year prison sentence for dealing marijuana when he got into an altercation with a correctional officer.

“He placed his hand on me. I turned around and he felt threatened,” Marte tells The Post. “He pulled the pin [alarm], where a whole bunch of officers come and throw you into the box and beat the hell out of you. They put me in a 9-by-6 prison cell on 24-hour lockdown.”

While inside, Marte wrote a 10-page letter to his family. The prison had provided him with a pen, paper and an envelope, but no stamp to mail his letter. He was despondent.

One of the few things he had in solitary was a Bible. Marte’s sister had urged him to read it, and with nothing else to do, Marte took a look.

“As soon as I started reading it, a stamp fell out of my Bible,” he says. “I felt a chill go through my body. I freaked out.”

Marte vowed to clean up his life. And after his release from upstate New York’s Greene Correctional Facility in 2013, he returned to the Lower East Side, where he grew up, and, almost by accident, launched a successful new venture.

When Marte, now 29, entered prison, he was told his cholesterol and blood pressure were so high, he’d probably be dead within five years.

“I was not going to die in prison,” he says. “I started working out, and I managed to lose 70 pounds in six months in my cell.”

After his release, Marte began working out at a Lower East Side park, inviting friends from the neighborhood to join him.

His popularity grew, and last year he launched Coss Athletics, a series of fitness classes based on the techniques he developed in prison.

 By age 19, he was raking in about $2 million a year. Even after Marte was busted by the feds at his Bronx stash house, he was still obsessed with making money.

Good for him.

That's the thing....there is money to be made out there.

There are people who make big bucks walking dogs...organizing closets...cleaning dog poop...etc.

This dude found a clientele for his prison "workouts," from which in the article (to me) sound like nothing more than high-rep calisthenics.

Dude's name rings no bells.

And good for him. Them hipsters will eat this right up and then go take a pic by the Big L mural :{
