This isn't meant to be the Playoff thread, but moreso tracking which teams have what games remaining, and the various races in the West and East. I'm going to start with the West, because I have that West-coast bias.

I'll also try and update daily with games remaining, and standings. I'll also be posting how many games behind each team is in the LOSS column, I personally think that's much easier to try and understand.

For the East, I figured it'd be easier to just list 2-8 since those teams are all pretty close to one another, and I left the Heat alone because they are winning the East easily.

There is already a thread just like this. you might as well include the east race too as its pretty close for all the teams in the east not named the heat are all within 1-2 games apart

There's another thread already? Link?

I did list the Eastern conference..?

man i aint looking back for it  just keep this one around.

the other one was created by a laker fan thus I think it was ignored

and yea i see now you got the east. your title just says western conference which was misleading for me

All four games tonight have an impact, and entire first post will be updated when all games are final.

ORL @ IND. IND in control of second seed.
POR @ MIL. POR trails LAL by two games in Loss column. Milwaukee trails Chicago and Boston by two games in Loss column for 6th/7th seed.
DEN @ OKC. DEN trails MEM and LAC by one game in loss column. OKC trails SA by one game in loss column for 1st seed.
LAC @ SAC. LAC in control of third seed.

Seems time consuming, but some damn dedication to the NBA. salute :smokin

I'll be watching MM all weekend. Cavs being 40 games out doesn't help either.

Eastern Conference has been updated, as all Eastern Conference teams have finished tonight.

West will be updated at conclusion of LAC/SAC game.

Everything up-to-date.

Here are tomorrow's impact games:

ORL @ NYK
BKN @ DAL
UTAH @ HOU***
BOS @ NOH
OKC @ MEM
GS @ SA
PHI @ LAC

If the race between 1-5 opens up as it look like it might, I'll update the thread and include all five teams under one heading, but until then I'll keep it as it is.

***Utah and Houston is a big game because they're fighting for a lone playoff seed. Beneficial for both Dallas and Portland regardless of who wins, because they will make up ground.

im expecting the warriors to take the game in san antonio.

houston and utah gonna be a fun game tonight

no matter the outcome of that game both the lakers and warriors win :smokin

First post updated.

No real movement today, but Dallas and Utah both hurt their playoff chances tonight, while Golden State leaves room for slipping further down in the West. Also with Oklahoma City losing again, and with how hot the Nuggets have been running, they may not have the second seed locked up.

Boston and Milwaukee both slipped further back in the East, here are tomorrow's key matchups.

POR @ CHI
PHI @ DEN.

Only three teams of any significance play tomorrow, with Portland in desperation mode now. Denver should take care of Philly, and Chicago can solidify their stance in the East. Much more important games on Friday, but we'll cross that bridge once we reach it.

Good action tonight, the East is really tightening up, and 2-5 in the West is looking a lot closer than everyone initially thought.

Damn JA.

Repped for your dedication.

Nicely done.

Damn JA.

Repped for your dedication.

Nicely done.

It's a resource I wanted but didn't have, so I made it for myself, and decided to share.

I wanted to keep track of the West playoff hunt and figured people would want to know about all of the match-ups and remaining games, so I just set aside some time and made it.

That said, I'll update in about ten minutes, it was an easy day.

Updated as of 3/21 now.

Portland stayed alive and won a tough game on the road, while Chicago continues to fall deeper in the East, and Denver is really pushing to better their seeding in the West.

I had no idea how rough Portland's remaining schedule is... Even when I made the thread, I didn't put together that EVERY game they have from now on out is against a .500 team or better except Dallas. :wow:

Schedule: 3/22 @ ATL, 3/24 @ OKC, 3/27 VS BKN, 3/29 VS UTAH, 3/30 @ GS, 4/1 @ UTAH, 4/3 VS MEM, 4/5 VS HOU, 4/7 VS DAL, 4/10 VS LAL, 4/12 VS OKC, 4/14 @ DEN, 4/16 @ LAC, 4/17 VS GS

And seven games against 6-11 seeds. Jesus.... :x

Anyways, tomorrow...

New York @ Toronto
OKC @ Orlando
Milwaukee @ Indiana*
Portland @ Atlanta**
Cleveland @ Houston
Memphis @ New Orleans
Boston @ Dallas***
Utah @ San Antonio****
Washington @ LA Lakers

*Milwaukee @ Indiana huge, as Milwaukee really needs to get out of the 8th seed, while Indiana needs to stay strong in the second seed.
**Portland needs to keep up their good play against Atlanta, tough game for them.
*** Jason Terry returns to Dallas for the first time, and their first game was a double OT thriller. Should be a great game, and if Dallas wants to keep their playoff hopes alive, they can't leave too many winnable games on the table.
****Utah needs to step up huge before they fall out of the West, because they play Dallas in the next game and if they lose both of those games, they'd be tied with the Mavericks and three games behind the 8th seed Lakers (assuming they win tomorrow, as they should).
