Updated once again. Everyone in the East just made it harder for anyone to move up, with Indiana and New York fully in control of hte two and three seed respectively.

In the West, Memphis is now the fifth seed, while Lakers and Jazz both lost while Dallas and Portland won and are lurking.

As for tomorrow…

TOR @ NYK
IND @ CHI*
BOS @ MEM**
SAC @ DEN
WAS @ GSW
BKN @ LAC***

*Big game there if Chicago loses, the Bulls creep closer to the 8th seed.
**Boston also needs to watch out for falling into the eighth seed, while Memphis wants to stay in the hunt for the third seed.
***If Brooklyn has any aspirations of going after the three seed, they can't lose too often, and LAC is a tough game.

Other than that, Denver tries to extend their streak, while Warriors and Knicks have easy games, though the Wizards just upset a healthy Lakers team and played really well down the stretch.

Another day, and not much movement overall.

The race for 3-5 in the West had no movement as all three teams won, and GSW stayed firmed by beating the Wizards.

Brooklyn, Boston, and Indiana all lost, while Chicago and NYK won. Knicked gained a game on the Pacers, and have less losses than them now, so that's good for them, while Boston continues to delve closer to the 8th seed.

Tomorrow?

Atlanta @ Milwaukee
San Antonio @ Houston
Chicago @ Minnesota
Portland @ OKC
Utah @ Dallas
Brooklyn @ Phoenix

ATL @ MIL, SA @ HOU, POR @ OKC, and UTAH @ DAL are all huge games.

Atlanta loses, then they move closer to the sixth seed while Chicago moves up, and it puts even more pressure on Boston to start winning some games.

SA @ HOU is a huge game, because they don't want to be in same boat as the Lakers, trying to fight off Utah and Portland/Dallas.

Utah and Dallas is also another big game, as it's battle of 9/10 in the West. Mavs are healthy, so it should be a good game.

Rockets stayed strong tonight and beat a tough San Antonio team at home, which opens up some room for OKC to maybe slide into the first seed when the teams meet up in about two weeks. Not much movement in the bottom of the West, with Dallas tying Utah for 9th, and Portland falling further back, now three losses back of the Lakers, but they have a games with them still, so they have room to make up some games. They face more games against those 6-11 teams than any other team, so they could really shake things up if they stay as hot as they've been recently, with two games against Utah, two games against Golden State, and a game against DAL, LAL, and Houston.

Failed to notice yesterday that the Knicks moved into the two seed, while Indi slipped down to three, with the Nets lurking. No other movement, although the Celtics gained some wiggle room with the Hawks beating the 8th seed Bucks tonight.

If the Heat win their next two games, they lock up the first seed, and they still have a pretty good lead on the Thunder and Spurs to get home court throughout the Playoffs.

Some fun games tomorrow…

ATL @ IND*
MEM @ WAS
DEN @ NOH
PHI @ UTAH
LAL @ GS**

*If the Pacers slip again, they gotta start worrying about keeping first round home court, and Atlanta has incentive to take the game seriously because they don't want to have to play their first round on the road either.
**6th seed VS 8th seed here, with this not being the last time these two teams meet. Lakers lose, they fall to just a single loss ahead of both Dallas and Utah. Warriors lose, they slip to the 7th seed, and a little closer to the 8th seed, which they DO NOT want.

Playoffs starting earlier then usual in the western conference seeds 6-10 :smokin

Some movement today. ATL and Chicago flip-flopped, as did IND-NYK, and Memphis and LAC.

The Lakers also slipped to within reaching distance of both the Jazz (who won), and the Mavericks. (who didn't play today).

Only two games of impact tomorrow, but both can have impacts in each conference.

New York @ Boston
LA Clippers @ Dallas.

Knicks win, they keep ahead of the Pacers. Celtics win, they avoid slipping closer to the 8th spot.

As for the Clippers, they win and they build a little margin between them and MEM/DEN. Dallas wins, it puts more pressure on the Jazz and the Lakers.

Updated.

A great game, and a not so great game.

Having Boston lose just means that they're going to really have to fight hard to not play Miami. New York jumped ahead back to the second seed, which if things ended today, would be the 2-7 match-up in the EC Playoffs.

LAC now has lost their mini-edge on the Nuggets and Grizzlies, and they all have the same amount of losses. Mavs kept up with the Jazz, and just a game behind the Lakers now.

Tomorrow's games?

ATL @ TOR
MIL @ PHI
BOS @ CLE
MEM @ NYK*
LAC @ NOH
IND @ HOU**
LAL @ MIN
MIA @ CHI
WAS @ OKC
DEN @ SAS
PHO @ UTAH
BKN @ POR***
SAC @ GSW

Bruh, all those games. :x :wow:

Could be major shake-ups in the East with Atlanta, Milwaukee, Boston, New York, Indiana, Chicago, and Brooklyn ALL playing tomorrow. No team is really safe in their current seeding, so it'll be interesting to see the movement.

Memphis, LAC, and Denver all play tomorrow, but LAC has the easiest game, as Memphis has to play New York on the road, while Denver has to play San Antonio on the road.

In the race for 6-8, GSW faces a team they are 1-2 against this year, Portland has a tough game against Brooklyn, Houston has to put together an all-around effort to beat Indiana, LAL will have issues with a healthier Minnesota, Utah should have a light game against the Suns, while the Mavs have the night off.

A lot could change between now and the end of the week. :pimp:

VERY busy today today in the Playoff hunt.

In the East, every single team except the 1st and 8th team won, so no movement at all. Milwaukee continues to put itself deeper in the doodoo since they are looking like the team that will play the Heat. They aren't really in any danger of missing the Playoffs though, so they're just coasting

In the 1-2 hunt in the West, both the Thunder and Spurs won. 3-5, LAC gained another game advantage against Memphis and OKC.

In the hunt for 6-10, Portland continued to fall, and are going to have to play catch-up if they want to try and make a push. Lakers got away with one in Minnesota, while Utah ran away with their game. Lastly, Golden State and Houston both lost tonight, and they can't really afford to go on a losing streak right now, but the Warriors should be fine as they play Portland and then New Orleans, both at home, while the Rockets have two really tough games upcoming, @ MEM and VS LAC.

Tomorrow?

LA Lakers @ Milwaukee Bucks.
Indiana Pacers @ Dallas Mavericks.

Huge game for the teams in the West, considering if the Lakers lose and Mavs win, there will be a three way tie for the 8th seed in the loss column.

Milwaukee has no where to go but up, literally. Pacers need to keep up with the Knicks, so it's an important game for all four teams tomorrow.

Wild night tonight. :wow:

every team in the East, but 1 and 8 lost? ?? Pretty sure Bulls beat Miami.

every team in the East, but 1 and 8 lost? ?? Pretty sure Bulls beat Miami.

I had that backwards.

Every team except the 1st and 8th seeds WON.

Knicks, Pacers, Nets, Bulls, Hawks, and Celtics all won tonight.

Miami and Bucks lost.

Wasn't trying to clown on Bulls or anything, my bad.

A big ol D'oh from both the Mavs and Lakers tonight..

Lakers could've gained separation from Utah and Dallas, but the Jazz are the winners here with a tie in the Loss column with the Lakers, and I believe they won the season series with the Lakers, so they win tomorrow, and they are in 8th in the West.

Bucks keep their hopes alive of staying out of the 8th seed, while Indiana keeps pace with New York for 2nd in the West.

Tomorrow:

Hawks @ Celtics*
Bobcats @ Knicks
Rockets @ Grizzlies**
Thunder @ Timberwolves
Clippers @ Spurs***
Nets @ Nuggets****
Jazz @ Trailblazers*****

Starred games are all teams that are both fighting for Playoff positioning.

*Big game against Hawks and Celtics, as those are the 6th and 7th ranked seed, and if Boston loses they would fall just a game behind in the loss column of Milwaukee.

**Grizzlies lose tomorrow and they fall even further back of the Clippers and Nuggets, and have to win a tough one against Houston, while Houstonw ants to keep up with the Warriors.

***Spurs and Clippers both want to keep their lead against the Thunder and Nuggets/Grizzlies respectively.

****Nets don't want to lose homecourt to a team like Chicago, so they are fighting for a lot tomorrow, while the Nuggets have been excellent at home.

*****Trailblazers have to win tomorrow if they want to keep any real hope alive for the Playoffs.

Playoff-contending teams not playing tomorrow: Bucks, Warriors, Lakers, and Mavericks.

8. Jazz 37-36* (Nets, Blazers, Nuggets, Hornets, at Warriors, Thunder, Wolves, at Wolves, Grizzles)
9. Lakers 37-36 (at Kings, Mavs, Grizzles, at Clippers, Hornets, at Blazers, Warriors, Spurs, Rockets)
10. Mavs 35-37 (Bulls, at Lakers, at Nuggets, at Kings, at Blazers, Suns, Nuggets, at Hornets, Grizzlies, Hornets)

There was no movement in the East today, but the Knicks kept their lead in the East over the Pacers, while the Nets are slipping back further into the 305 race. The Hawks, Celtics, and Bucks are scrambling to not finish in the eighth seed.

In the West though, quite a bit of big games happened on Friday.

Another day, another set of big games.

CHI @ DAL*
ORL @ ATL
LAC @ HOU**
MEM @ MIN
OKC @ MIL***
BKN @ UTAH****
IND @ PHO
LAL @ SAC
POR @ GSW*****

*Dallas really needs to win this if they want to stay involved in the eighth seed, because they still have quite a few difficult games left on their schedule, and they don't own the season series with either Utah or LA Lakers. Chicago has the chance to move up into the fourth seed if they play their cards right, so they really want to win too.
**Houston isn't all that far off from the seed, so if they keep losing, they could fall to 8th, and the Clippers have every intention of locking up that 3rd seed so the Rockets will be in for a tough one tomorrow.
***OKC doesn't want the Nuggets or Clippers to sniff the second seed, so they need to take care of business against the Bucks, but the Bucks also need to get out of that 8th seed in the East.
****Brooklyn loses, they could lose their homecourt advantage. Deron Williams returns to Utah as his first time as a Brooklyner. Utah loses, they could move back into the 9th seed, and a tie with Dallas if they win and LA wins.
*****If the Blazers want any hope of Playoffs, they can't really lose anymore games. GSW on the other hand can keep their ead in the 6th spot, and they're tough to beat at home.

Second post updated with all tie-breaker situations.
