Racist vs Prejudice..

So what's the difference between a white saying the n word and a minoritie saying the n word?

Or vice versa an African American saying a racial slur vs that of a white person?

Racism is racism no matter what every one can be racist don't mean crap what color skin or ethnicity you are, just my belief.

a white person referring to a black person as an N-Word out of anger is in reference to Slavery, Jim Crow Era, and lynchings of thousands of African Americans. a Minority using it towards an african American holds zero weight, same thing as an african american using towards another african american as a term of endearment. I thought that was known

racism ≠ systematic/institutionalized racism.

if a Chinese man calls you the N word, he may be racist. if you call him a slur back, you may be racist also.

they're called racial slurs, not prejudicial slurs. anyone can be racist.

but we are talking about institutionalized racism.

In trying to understand it but I highly doubt anyone saying the n word to an African American holds no weight.

I really think and with all do respect to any one on this board. That whole minorities can't be racist only prejudice argument is pure bs.

Then the title of the thread should reflect that. Institutionalized/systematic racism and racism are two different things.

Anyone can be racist. If you're Asian and you call me a ****** and start telling me about how bad my people are, congrats, you're a racist Asian person.

Interchangeable with all races.

I will never understand this logic. If someone you THINK is white comes at you about your race and you later find out they're Hispanic, do they suddenly go from racist to prejudiced? :lol

they can to an extent if they are of higher power.
So billionaire who is a minority said a racist statement it would be different if a poor minority said the same statement word for word?
if your boss is racist and a minority and he says/does something to mess up your job position or any type of situation yes. Do you not understand this conversation is about institutionalized racism? lol

And if you guys can't read the first post and not understand this conversation is about institutionalized racism idk what to say.

Not sure how I misconstrued that maybe you didn't understand what anyone meant but that's as far as I go with this.

You believe strongly in minorities not being racist and it's cool and perfectly fine. I am here to gain a perspective as to why you feel that way not bicker back and forth on how sentences were written out.

I honestly don't know what institutionalized racism is care to explain ( being serious)

we are talking about institutionalized racism for the final time. I explained my reasoning back in my first post in this thread.

Via Wikipedia: Institutionalized Racism: Institutional racism is any system of inequality based on race. It can occur in institutions such as public government bodies, private business corporations (such as media outlets), and universities (public and private).

Via Miriam Webster: Prejudice: an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basing my opinions/arguments on those definitions I would say in present conditions in western nations (for the dense and willfully ignorant I mean west in the political grouping sense, not geographical sense) it is impossible for a person of color to be racist against a white person.  A person of color can certainly be prejudiced but not racist.

Another example of not understanding racism vs institutional racism. Anyone can be racist.

Who gives a ****?

Let's talk about who's been getting the shorthand of the stick for generations because of it.

Thank You!

Racism is a thought process anybody with a brain can have thoughts.

Systematic racism is a set of interacting components controlled by a race in power. Not everyone can have this power including blacks

So yes black people can be racist. Black people in America cant control systematic racism.

One word makes a big difference like statutory rape and RAPE.
