Rant......

1) I am paying for school. I used to get Financial Aid, but now i pay for everything
2) No, still undergrad.
3) Yes I can. $ isnt an issue. Its my point of view. I look at school as an obstacle, as something thats slowing me down drastically. And you know how it is once your view on something changes, its quite contagious.
4) I guess i answered with 3)

Ultimately, since you're paying then you can make the call regardless of the pressure your family is exerting. If you don't think having your degree as a backstop or hedge is worthy of your time, then put it off for a while. You can go back to school should you decide differently later on.

College is what you make of it. I thought the same thing while going at it but then my upper level classes kicked in, I made better use of my time and explored different areas that I otherwise wouldn't have had exposure to. Let me also add my two cents. I was a business major w/ a focus in accounting and finance. There were a lot of courses that I took that I had/have no use for in my career. However, there are plenty that did. I'm able to help my wife structure her business and the related tax consequences ahead of a lawyer which helps keep her overhead lower. I'm able to use what I learned in accounting to not only help her, but my own clients at the firm I'm at.

You become a well rounded person which is a direct benefit if you go into business for yourself or someone else eventually. School isn't for everyone, but this is a decision you have to make for yourself.

Regardless of what you want to do, understand the risks/consequences. Everyone thinks their business with their friends is going to be nothing but success and good times...but that's often not the case.
