I think it comes down to personality or rather the perception of ones personality.

I was thinking about Cardi the other day and how far her music career could go. And came to the conclusion that it didn’t matter. She seems like a genuine person that people like. Even if she stops making music she’ll ways have a bag available. Hosting s show, being on tv , something.

Yeah perception plays a part because Cardi is kinda playing a character too, she was basically just a social media personality. Not saying she not genuinely like that but it’s definitely played up to caricature levels for entertainment

People just feel more into it cause they was following her on IG and Tv and loved her before rap. Those are the types ppl wanna see win.
