Rap About Nothing: Hip Hop Chat Thread

It was wrong then & it doesn't make it any less wrong now. People just straight overlooking things with this dude constantly.. it's this pick & choose culture. It's absolutely happened in the past and a lot of people turned a blind eye.... doesn't mean it has to stay like that.

Also Bigs lines in a song aint the same as kissing & caressing a 17 yr old on stage at a live show

Fam he's rapping about RAPING AN 8 YEAR OLD :rollin :rollin what part of the game is that?! Is that still rap :rollin

Drake was 23 or so in that video and she was 17. That's a no go and pretty flagrant to continue caressing her on stage after you knew her age.

But Do you see those big lines? What Hov said about Beyonce? He was messing with Aaliyah when she was prettyyyy young too.

It's absolutely pick and choose culture though I agree.

Like I said in the R. Kelly thread. If he was that tight over the whole situation why was he complicit with the best of both worlds ****. DIdn't look too tight in the fiesta video. Cap.

I'm not sure if you even listened to this, but he literally says he didn't even take no money from the project, didn't promote it, was very loudly against jay doing it... and everyone let it go down anyway. He said he did chill with R Kelly a few times & from what he seen, he was a chill dude. But he Knows exactly Kellz was doing so he aint **** with him.

Dude literally stated this was the moment when he realized him & jay weren't the same Rocafella no more. Dude was far from complicit.

I did and that's precisely my point. How are you chilling with R. Kelly a few times, making cameos in the videos and ****, after knowing what he did to her???? I don't get that line of thinking.

If he loved Aaliyah that much he shouldn't have been nowhere near Kellz at all. Right?

Nobody said it's okay it's a wild line for sure.. but a line aint comparable to actually fondling a minor bro

Not that it matters with Big because he dated Kim young anyway. Point is just because we were complacent in the past doesn't mean we should continue to be. And this ***** seems to be on a pattern of this :smh:

R Kelly might really be the break up of Rocafella **** that *****
What? :lol

Dame clearly said Jay was trying to push Biggs out cuz he wasnt doing anything before that Kelly **** happened.

Hell, nobody seems to address that Jay knew what Kelly did to and with Aaliyah, alleged or not, and still wanted to do an album with him.

I agree with you. He was on Hailey Baldwin when she was underaged, the little girl he was texting reeks of grooming, I agree with you. We shouldn't be complacent now just because we were complacent before.

There's just sooo many artists who have said or done things w/underaged chicks. Beyond just Hip-Hop too.

He's very much caping for Drake. He keeps using a quote from a fake Jay account in 2013 when Jay didn't have IG. He would be better off using Foxy to deflect from Drake.

And comparing Biggie's lines in a comedy song that was supposed to be over the top to Drake feeling on a 17 year old ain't the same.

I'm surprised no one has brought up the fact that Jay was supposedly messing with Foxy while she was underage too.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's payed her off over the years. It's all speculation at this point though

It was common place. Hov got enough bread and cache to skate through this Me Too wave though.

We got Timbo, who met Aaliyah when she was 16 saying this

“When I first met Aaliyah—it time for the world to hear this, I’m gonna give a little secret—I was in love with her. I said, But I’m not…She just a baby, I’m old.”

“I said to myself, ‘I’m just gonna be her brother.’ Oh man, I was fightin’, I was fightin’ a lot—a big war. But I loved Aaliyah.

He then went on to marry his current wife because she looks like Aaliyah. Yikes.

It's kind of hard to be in the entertainment industry, be the CEO of a company & not bump into a ***** who your right hand man is now making an album with. Hell even just watching the video just now those two ****** weren't in any scenes together.

Being around him a couple of times don't make his point any less valid... Your breaking bread & doing a whole album with a ***** you KNOW did your partners wife dirty, not only his wifey but your friend. Dame has every reason to take issue with that.

Not saying he's wrong for taking issues with that at all. That's not my point.

My point is that I find it hard to believe that he's was as pressed then about it as he is now.

Look at them both, man. How can you do this with a man that sexually abused and assaulted your Fiancé when she was 12, 15 years old? Whaaaaatttt :lol That's just crazy to me how he's so anti Kelly now, and rightfully so but was rubbing shoulders with the man who sexually abused the woman you were about to marry. WTF.

He also stated that was the moment he realized him & jay weren't family & they had different morals. He goes on to say while it wasn't the biggest part, it def was a piece tho.

Imagine your closest friend & business partner, knowing a dude violated your wife & still doing an album with the guy. that would put a toll on any partnership

That's not R. Kelly's fault.

That's Dame realizing Jay is a scumbag and a snake.

After the info we got about beds in the studios, different girls in each room you telling me Jay aint see none of that? I vivdly recall Nas calling Jay out for that foul ****.

The
Bro there literally in no scenes together, he stated in the interview that the only reason he was cordial with him is out of respect for Aailyah. Looking back dame had nothing to do with that album or it's rollout. The ***** said til this day the only song he's heard from the album was the intro.... why would he lie about being mad when it's clear as day why anyone would be pissed in that situation.

Nas really aired Jay out on the low

Jay was messing with Foxy when she was young, that has been talked about. I don't think it's talked about anymore because it's a big deal but people had mentioned it in the late 90s. It was known.

I don't know about the rumors about him being in to Beyonce when she was 16/17. Feel like it was true but I can't remember and it could be gossip.

Just got this in the mail today and I'm hype as ****

Nas my guy too but, Foxy was 17/18 years old during “The Firm” and she was that age during the recording sessions of “It was written” she was 17 in 1996...
