Maybe in washed and forgetful but can someone tell me the purpose of dropping letters out of words but still pronouncing them the same way?

Is it suppose to be cool? Like I remember the 90s putting a z where the s would go like badass or spelling dog dawg or dropping the g in slang

On another topic as I read another post of more Nas, has Nas and The Roots never collaborated on a song (nor live performances)?

Pretty sure there's a band called "the weekend" so he stylized it to "wknd" to avoid a lawsuit or whatever

I'm pretty sure it's just for stylistic flare. "The Wizrd" looks more interesting when you put it in creative font than "The Wizard" does.
