It’s because of how long it take **** to circulate, not having the right ppl in place etc. Songs can be popping in the streets, meanwhile the "mainstream" has never even heard it.
Blueface made Thotiana like late 2017 I think, it literally didn't even hit radio until this time last year
Thotiana was kinda popping regionally in Cali like early-mid 2018. They dropped the video that summer, it was circulating gradually.
Then they dropped the Respect My Crypn video, it went pretty viral on twitter, which then caused everybody else from there to go back and find Thotiana, so they started pushing it all over again
