His beat selection sometimes makes his @+#$ unlistenable...regardless of how hard he's spittin'.

It's quite sad really.

And for the life of me i don't know how Nas' ear for beats got so bad..... Illmatic was near flawless on the production side. Nas Is Like is so epichow he had the ear to spit on that beat then pick some extra wack sh-- like Favor for a Favor or Small World

For those saying Fab and Cas..... Philly cats have beatselection..... and Fab is 1 of maybe 5 new yorkers who can actually pick a beat.

thinking about it.. with the exception of reasonable doubt and blueprint.. i never really like hov's beats..

most of the time i like hearing jay's mash ups or remixes more than the original

U serious!? I actually think Pac's beats selection is under rated! Especially his last 3 albums. When XXL did themaking of the Makaveli album, one of the members of the Outlaws said that Pac actually produced most of that album himself but didn't get credited for it.Remember alot of songs came out after his death and others made the beat selections...

I'll be the first to admit Nas has rapped over a few wack beats. Still, I think he gets a bad reputation for his beat selection. All of his songs fit thebeat and vice versa. Listing songs like Favor for a favor and Small World?

Those are far from weak IMO.
