cheap, reliable, sporty looking, awd, can be had in 5spd or automatic.

something a little different than your typical honda, toyota clique.

If you're looking at spending about 7.5-8 k, you can probably get a base model rsx or even an 06 tC. I have a tC and it's pretty reliable, but thebuild quality is meh....lots of noise, but mechanically very sound.

Well thats because of the kind of market that buys those cars. Typical young high school kids with part time jobs thinking there Vin Diesel.Don't get ticketed for no reason, practically everyone i know that has a TC drive like idiots.

Sporty, reliable, excellent platform to tune(if you decide to do so anyway).

But if you want to save a little bit more money I'd go with a Camry,Accord or

02-03 Altima
02-03 Camry
03-04 Accord

get a early 90s lexus for about 2k.. take that and about 500 to a mechanic to make sure everything is proper..take it to the shop ans have it candy painted..get some 22s and slap off craigslist and have a ghetto cousin put the rims on and do the music..

FI Hondas suck. Takes away from what those motors are designed to do. Operate at high rotational speed.

now iknow nt is the WORST place to ask what car to buy SMH

cmon stop recommending people your little dream cars with swapped engines. dude probably has no idea how to change the oil let alone fix the car when somethinggoes wrong esp. w/ an engine that's not made in the US.

don't try to live beyond your limits and buy a old luxury car that you won't be able to afford maintenance on...get a good reliable 4 cyl camry,accord, civic, corolla and spend the rest of the money to repair the car if needed and save the rest. might not be a flashy car but at least it'll neverfail on you when you need it the most.

Without FI though those motors would go nowhere. Only so much power you can get from a 1.8-2.0 liter i4 without running some kind of FI.

True but who buys it to drag. Take it to the track, keep the revs over 5K. Smile. There is a reason Honda once supplied Formula 1 motors
